I had the same thing and I noticed since 2008 the missed jobs are at the bottom of the list instead of the top...I hope this makes sense.

Thanks for that I have had another look to see what I have missed but for my page it does show any for 2008. I don't know why? I have had a look at the top of the missed list and at the bottom of the missed list but I can't see any for 2008.

  • I have done an assignment today for RE which involved a meal. It was to a family pub and I took our children. Halfway through our meal my little girl was sick over the floor. She was fine and just carried on with her meal (kids !!!). I immediately went to the bar to ask for a mop and disinfectent. The staff were great and said dont worry they would clean it up and they moved us to another table. However I was abit disgusted when the lady came out with a giant toilet roll and cleaned the floor. No disenfectant in sight the whole time we were there.

Would you mention this on the report ?

I was impressed with the way they handled it and offered us more meals but surely disenfactant should have been used ?

Hi, just wondering if there are any members of retail eyes who would like to refer me to them (apparently you will earn £1.50 for doing so?).
    Let me know!

Yes, I would mention it on the report. I would praise the staff for the way they dealt with it, and write the sentence I have turned red exactly as you have done (but substituting my spelling for the blue word!) :p I assume the lady who cleaned up wore gloves? If not, I would mention this as well.

Hope your daughter is (still) OK and that you all enjoyed the meal after that!

I would mention it and put you were impressed with the way they handled it.

I had a similar incident in a high street store. It's in a traditional high street with no public toilets. All of a sudden my son said he was going to be sick, and put his hand over his mouth to try and hold it in. Consequently it went all over his face and coat, as well as on the shop floor.

A staff member fetched a bucket and mop for the floor, but they refused to let me use the staff toilets to clean my son up. I had to complain to the manager and said I understood staff toilets were off limits for people just wanting a wee, but did they really expect me to walk back through town with my son all covered in sick. He reluctantly let me use the toilets so I could wash my sons hands and face and sponge his coat off.

I put that in the report and said they should have been more flexible and let customers use the staff toilets in emergency situations. I heard back that the company HQ were interesed in the extra comments and "further training" would be provided to the store.
Here I go again on my own....

I understand BARE pay Euros into your UK bank account. I'm with Halifax and hear they (along with most UK banks) charge a huge conversion fee! Is this true? Is there anyway around this? The fee, if a percentage, could be huge for some people!

I'm paid by Paypal with Bare. Last job I did, I got paid 13 Euro for, and received £8.56.

You could open a Euro Savings account at Citibank, where you get a normal bank sort code and account number, so would imagine that they can just pay the euro's directly in, with no conversion charge.

However, would check with Citibank first!

I am with HSBC and I didn't get charged anything. My reimbursement was meant to be £271, but the conversion rate meant I got £282. I'm not complaining. LOL.

Last time I checked Citibank they wanted you to deposit €2000 in your account; you wouldn't earn interested and you would get charged (!!!!) if you'd dare to have less than €2000 in your account .... do I still consider them ??? No way !!!
