Yes Sam all the MS companies have a minimum spend mentioned in your briefing notes. You are allowed to spend more but they only reimburse your minimum spend. So if they say "Spendlimit" is £5 and your receipt shows £10 just go ahead and submit it but they will only refund you the £5.
I did some RE pharmacy chains establishments. Minimum spend said £3. I took my prescription and got it filled which was £6.85 ( although I am in Scotland so that's now down to £5 per prescription) and I still got my £3 refunded. So I was happy getting £3 off my prescription cost.
Hope that helps Sam and good luck.Clique member no 1.:D0 -

When I saw meals on their website yesterday and they asked for 2 main meals they also said that the visit was for 2 adults only. Therefore I can't see the need to buy more than 2 main meals - unless the two people going are very, very hungry.
If you take more people than "allowed" you risk not getting paid at all as you didn't follow the instructions.
Apart from that go with what Hollypear said. Just make sure you read the instructions properly.0 -

Wensie I have been doing RE pub chain visits. The briefing I got didn't specify number of people precisely ie doesn't say only 2 adults but it does specify a spend limit... a lower 1 for a pint of ale and a cocktail and a higher spend limit for a pint of ale, a coffee and sometimes a burger meal with chips and salad or a chicken caesar salad. Though it does say you can spend more if you wish. Anyone in doubt should maybe phone them and ask.
In the Scottish pubs in this UK chain you have to enter the report twice but you get 2 lots of fees which is rather welcome.:beer:Clique member no 1.:D0 -

You really need to ask RE this question.0 -
the re pub has a spend limi which will not cover the 3 drinks and 2 meals you have to order. it does says in bold 2 ADULTS ONLY no children,
i have emailed them will let you know.
i certainly will not make any money doing the visit really will have to fetch fish n chips home for kids,0 -

Hi all
I am an MS newbie, done 7 in the last week. Done some jobs for RM, GB and one for RE. Where I have had to submit reports on line for food outlets, it has taken me about two hours to do this. Why oh why would anyone pick these assignments if the reports take so long? Am I being slow? RM have been great as ring and take details.
I thought the whole point was to assess the stores accurately, so I am disappointed to hear people not getting assignments because the stores are rubbish. I worry that I may be over critical so could well be sacked within the week!
Any hints/tips would be be welcome!
Yes, you are being slow and probably giving them extra value for money. Yes, the reports do take ages and for some MS companies are hardly worth doing, but you should not take more than an hour tops, unless your typing is very slow.
I have a Word file with some useful phrases in which I copy and paste on some reports - things like 'The staff member did not ask me that question' are quicker to cut and paste (and there are other sentences which it's quicker to paste in and change, IYSWIM, like 'The venue was very well/badly presented from the outside and there were no/some/lots of cigarette butts at the entrance'. I've even thought of starting a thread on here where we can all paste useful sentences - what do people think?Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -

Good idea. I wish I had a pound for every time I have typed the phrase " I would happily return to this establishment/garage etc and would happily recommend it to family and friends.Clique member no 1.:D0 -

Holly, I know which chain you mean. The scenarios of the different chains can vary quite a lot though ... one chain is happy for you to bring more people, other chains will insist on a certain number, certain meals, certain drinks. (That's one reason why I don't do that chain anymore, the other having been paid more by the company who had the contract before RE!)
If anyone is unsure the best advice is always to get in touch with the MS company. Only they will know for sure (or not :rotfl:).0
