I'll be sure to let you all know how I got on tomorrow night though - and thanks again for all the help, I really do appreciate it.
Off to bed now as my pillow is calling me after a very long and tiring day in my regualr job!
Goodnight all,
Sarah
Good luck Sarah. A good tip I found in my early days was fill in some details like time in and time out etc on a newspaper crossword...can also be used to note staff names. It just then looks as if your a clever crossword filler in.:rotfl:Clique member no 1.:D0 -

Johnny I should imagine it is "smart but casual".
I am also with RE how do you get invited to auditor training and BTW what is auditor training.
Good luck tomorrow.Clique member no 1.:D0 -
Grassroots aren't even offering me certain companies anymore - one of which is a phone shop who they still offer to my girlfriend (so I know they still have the contract) - something tells me they've barred me from doing them as I submitted a negative report once a while back
Remember newbies, if you want to keep your job, only submit GOOD reports which are sure to give the MSing company the minimum of grief from the client!
Excellent point Timmne. I did a load of bingo hall jobs a while back. All were excellent till I went to one which broke every rule going. ie people all smoking at the entrance ( big emphasis was on that question) and the had NO safegambling notices in the loos which is illegal!!! I reported this honestly though praised everything else.
What grief I got. The bingo manager contacted the MS company and said they had checked the CCTV and there was NO one smoking at the entrance and every toilet had the required signage about gambling. Why on earth would I lie about it. Never got another bingo job again. Now for that company I just lie and say everything was fabbydozy. Kind of defeats the point of MS in the 1st place though doesn't it.Clique member no 1.:D0 -

Thanks Holly.
I had an email a couple of weeks ago about the auditing. I filled in the link it gave (needed a business email address) and the training appeared in my list of available jobs.0 -
The problems are that a)too much of the managers' package (or even job?) relies on the MS report - which isn't a problem apart from b)the MSing companies don't trust their shoppers to provide the truth.
I've always said that it would be good if MSing companies took their hiring more seriously and made the prospective shoppers work harder for their appointment (test shops, long essays etc) and then they'd be surer that what the shopper was saying, would be correct. This is all said after I'm already a shopper for most of the companies though0 -
Not seen anything on GR since Feb - even any jobs I've missed.
Those elec retailers on RE used to pay twice the amount when I've done them on TNS.0 -

Ah I remember it now. I don't have business address so didn't respond to it. Let us know how you get on. Sounds interesting.
Gave you a little thank you click. Nice touch with this forum. We all like to be appreciated.Clique member no 1.:D0 -

Timmne you are so right. The 1st bingo one I did it asked if the manager opened the session. This one didn't and I answered it honestly. I then took my mum there a few weeks later and hey presto the manager opened the session and welcomed everyone. I find it gratifying when your MS has actually made a difference.
Re MS companies not trusting us. I had to do a tough MS test for PIP but at least I feel they have properly evaluated me so trust me to be honest.
Thing is look through the posts here and you'll find we all take it very seriously and don't just tick all the Yes boxes. We do try and give an honest account..which is after all the point of the exercise or should be.:beer:Clique member no 1.:D0
