RE pay on the last working day of the month for work completed between the 1st and the 15th o f the previous, and on the 15th for work completed between thr 15th and the end of the month. The payment is usually sent a few days before this but the next payment date on your homepage won't change until the official payment date. If that make sense?!
If you click on the payment amount on your homepage, it wll give you a breakdown of your jobs and you can see what payments have been made and what is outstanding.

Just something that has happened to me with Retail Eyes.
I took a call centre job which have an all-in fee that includes the telephone call charges. I've done the type of scenario before and the call typically takes around 15 mins once you get to speak to someone.
I rang up and spent about 3 minutes going through various menu's before I was placed in the queue. I waited for over 20 minutes (listening to the same rubbish song over and over again and slowly losing the will to live!), then decided to abort the call. I reported that the call was not answered, and explained in normal circumstances I would have hung up long before and gone elsewhere.
I've been told I should have stayed on the phone until someone answered. However it was an 0870 number and I was concerned about the cost of the call, plus my time. I'm not getting paid for the job.
I'm now out of pocket for a 25 minute call to an 0870 number, plus the time I wasted
Just thought I'd post this so people can bear it in mind if they intend calling call centres at peak times. Here I go again on my own....0 -
Hi Beccles,
That totally sucks and as you say you are the one that is out of pocket - not them! They will re-assign the job and still get paid regardless. Next time check SAYNOTO0870 before phoning any call centres. 99% of the time you will find an alternative number and if you are subscribed to a service like 18185 you should find the calls cost next to nothing.
I travelled quite far once to do a mortgage review for a Company that lasted 55minutes only for them to tell me I was not going to get paid for going to the wrong branch, even though I had been explicitly told to accept an appointment regardless of location as long as it was with the named mortgage broker :grrrrr:DEBT FREE AND LOVING LIFE0 -
If you do use "saynoto0870", make sure you will be paid as if it says
call 0870 XXXXXXX, surely if you use a different number you are not following the instructions. I have never done a call in job so not really sure, just a thorght to have in mind.0 -

This is a very valid point, a lot of companies have recording devices set up on the 0870 number and if you by pass that, the call will not be recorded, therefore if there is any discrepancy in your report, it will not be able to be verified.
Some companies may be ok with it, as you could be recording the call your end anyway, but it is always best to check beforehand rather than find out the hard way and not be paid, or even worse, be sacked for not following instructions."Dogs come when they are called. Cats take a message and get back to you" :j :j0 -
Regarding saynoto0870, it is a fab site but I have found that the calls often go to the wrong locations, although same company. Really not worth risking it for MS work, as you know they wont pay you if you didn't stick to specifics...Smile ! And pass it on..0

If you do use a landline number instead of a rip-off 0870 one, dial 141 first so they can't identify your number. At least that way they can't identify you specifically as not coming through 0870.0

I've just accepted my first assignment for OC. Fortunately the shop isn't booked for another week, which is how long it should take me to familiarise myself with the scorecard - it's really long!0

I find that a bit irritating sometimes too. I try to plan a couple of visits on the same day as I like to know what I am doing and I can make plans accordingly. Sometimes you wait days with the status as pending, during which time I don't know whether to book other visits in for that day, in case I don't get them, or book others in and then get them all and overload myself!0
