Did they change the rule of "you have to wait two months before you can do these"? It is just as well if they did, they were the only ones left with 1700 available. I wonder if they'll go fast again next month when everyone gets bored with them!
  • Morning everyone, question for anyone that has done a Gap phone shop assignment. I have read, reread and reread again the paperwork and it doesn't actually give me any kind of scenario. I have the questionaire but it doesn't say that I should enquire about anything in specific.......do I just make it up? I know that if I email them I won't get any response til it's due anyway!

Off to check if my burger orientation is there for Gap yet
Proud to be dealing with my debts:money:

I've done phone shops for Gap. I think the one you are talking about is a competitors shop? Eg. the assignment is being done for Company A, but you are visiting Company B to see how they do. In which case, yes, just make up a scenario that you feel comfortable with a nd report on that. It does say you need a business card, but I wasn't able to get one (they'd run out) so I just got the assistant to write their name on a brochure and that was fine.

  • Don't think it' a competitors shop as it is for one of the clients and not a 'clients comp' IYKWIM. Will just go with the flow then, could actually do with a quote for a phone anyway. My burger orientation is there now though which is good!
Proud to be dealing with my debts:money:
  • Does anyone know which company does mystery shopping for:

Marks & spencer, The body shop & Debenhams?

    Thanks

No, but I have done 2/3 of these as 'competitor shops*'. Don't forget that you often get 2 bites of the cherry - you can shop them for the mystery shop company which is actually commissioned to check them out, but competitors may also send you there. And in the case of department stores, the franchise holder of a particular department may also send you......

*But I won't break confidentiality and tell you who for, sorry!
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).
  • Hurray!
    Feeling proud of myself today!
Had a good look at the "up your income" posts and decided to apply to TNS. Did the test yesterday, nearly lost the will to live! completed test and today got an email saying I'm in!

Ok, so now I've got some questions and would be grateful for any help - how much do they pay?

What sort of work will I initially be offered?

If I was sent to a restaurant for example, do I always have to go alone or will they pay for hubby to come?

Any info anyone could give me would be very welcome. I didn't consider being accepted as i've read loads of posts saying poster didn't get in, I guess they need people in my area.

Fees can't get disclosed. You will just have to wait and see. But if you have to purchase something you will get a reimbursement.

Work - all sorts. Restaurants, DIY-shops, pubs, supermarkets for example.

Going on your own or with partner - it depends on the brief. It can be either.
