HAVE YOU ACTUALLY got a court CCJ showing on any of your credit ref agency sites , or is a CCJ showing at the registry trust https://www.trustonline.org.uk/
the sort code looks valid (same town) not sure of the account number , no way of checking

    thanks all,
well that's the thing,  at this time £100 for the judgement to go away would be a no brainer.  On the other hand for this just to  marked as satisfied, is worth around a fiver to me.    I'll see if they give any more specifics.

Also, not sure if its too clear on the photo,  but the quality of the company logo and footer on the letter was beyond poor, so that along with the 'just send payment to this specific bank account'  got me thinking it was scam.   I think court records/judgements are searchable ,  also noticed part of my address was missing.
so it was NAME, FIRST LINE of address, then POST CODE,    no town/city.  I suppose its enough to get to me, but another thing that just didn't look right.
Strictly speaking, all Royal Mail need to get a letter to you is POSTCODE + BUILDING/HOUSE NUMBER/NAME - once they've put it through the letterbox, it's up to someone in the property to give it to the correct person.

So don't be surprised if you see companies not putting full addresses on letters they send out.

yes it is on my Credit Report from all the agencies.  They've quoted the Case no correctly.
Also it gets a hit on the above site,   accepts the case no but then prompts for payment to see full details.

ok , lets look back , the OP did not fight his case , he got a DEFAULT CCJ

VCS cannot write to the "court" that issued it , they CANNOT lease with the court , coz it never got to court !!!
How does one acquire a CCJ without court involvement ?

court papers are NOT sent from the court , they are sent from the northampton cental office , only when they are returned is a court allocated
in a case of a default (either not replying or wrong address) a default CCJ is issued automaticly by Northampton , which is NOT a court

Plus the odd few are from the manual handling centre in Salford but we don't see many of those

Both are just admin tick box paper excercises if the defendant talks to respond , so a default CCJ when the claimant asks for judgment in default , so the process becomes more automated and like a conveyor belt. If no defendant replied the actual courts would in theory have no work to do

Does that mean you can't apply for a set aside as there has been no court involvement ?
