Vehicle Control Services - offer to remove CCJ

No, they just don't seem to have a clue.
Apparently (this from another campaigner) VCS used to send a demand adding £90, a week or so after a person lost at a court hearing. VCS' Jake Burgess reportedly said he 'didn't know' that a person had 30 days to pay if they lose and that it doesn't mean immediate payment is due.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

A big financial difference too. Rates will be higher for anyone with a CCJ even as marked satisfied than someone with a clean slate. This is why some people will be attracted to this and it could be a scam if all they are doing is marking the debt as satisfied.Coupon-mad said:Action Fraud might look at it if the complaint was made in the right way. Needs someone to look at it who realises the huge legal difference between 'removing' a CCJ and just marking it satisfied.
Even if the intentions are good they may have not cleared this with the courts. It might be just an attempt to improve the cash flow.
What happens also if they take these £100.00's from debtors and then go into administration?

ok , lets look back , the OP did not fight his case , he got a DEFAULT CCJ
VCS cannot write to the "court" that issued it , they CANNOT lease with the court , coz it never got to court !!!3 -
Please , please its worth £100 to see them go into administrationSnakes_Belly said:Coupon-mad said:Action Fraud might look at it if the complaint was made in the right way. Needs someone to look at it who realises the huge legal difference between 'removing' a CCJ and just marking it satisfied.

my heart feels for them paying the likes of JLA £52,000 per year , and not a single plane , how sad4 -
The car park where I received my PCN services a Travelodge for which Excel pay £20,000 per annum. No one staying at the Travelodge at the moment, oh dear.twhitehousescat said:Please , please its worth £100 to see them go into administration my heart feels for them paying the likes of JLA £52,000 per year , and not a single plane , how sad

Don't Excel/VCS manage the car parking at Nottingham Airport as well? I think that a number of cases have featured on here for stopping at the petrol station.twhitehousescat said:it gets better every minute

and I do hope the land owers chase VCS for outstanding rent fishing licence
the airports ARE open , gates are not locked , same with travelodge etc4 -
just to add paying them £100 would NOT (legally) mark your file as satisfied
the CC issued the CCJ with a figure of £185 , its not upto VCS to decide a different number , the court (or in this case a default) stated £1855 -
thanks all,
well that's the thing, at this time £100 for the judgement to go away would be a no brainer. On the other hand for this just to marked as satisfied, is worth around a fiver to me. I'll see if they give any more specifics.
Also, not sure if its too clear on the photo, but the quality of the company logo and footer on the letter was beyond poor, so that along with the 'just send payment to this specific bank account' got me thinking it was scam. I think court records/judgements are searchable , also noticed part of my address was missing.
so it was NAME, FIRST LINE of address, then POST CODE, no town/city. I suppose its enough to get to me, but another thing that just didn't look right.
