I'm so irritated with car insurance companies. I had an email from the company that I've just taken out the new policy with 2 weeks ago asking me to clarify some details. Then today they've sent me an email saying that as I originally put down that I would do 15,000 miles annually but then clarified it as 'a conservative 14,000' that they were updating my policy and it was going to increase by £110 a year! (But not to worry, because they would automatically spread the cost across my DDs!)
I've just rung them and basically said 'if 1000 in the right direction is such an issue then change it back' only to be told by the woman "Oh, I've just checked it and it's all fine, there's no fee, you don't need to do anything else"
I mean at least I'm on the ball enough to spot the email and then organised enough to ring and query it- but it's such a stealth creep! I imagine that they do that to most policies with the idea that if 20% of people don't ring and challenge it then they make a tidy extra packet a year. It's so dishonest.

Going to a wedding this Saturday so I've spent my 'personal spends' this month on a gorgeous dress from Boohoo. £17! It's red and has off the shoulder sleeves and looks beautiful on the website.

Wedding was ace- caught up with so many friends. Lovely to see the couple get married as well (we've known them for 8 years and they got together shortly after they joined our hobby group) Her grandad is a vicar and he married them which was lovely.
So our rent is going up by £50 a month- which is a bit irritating. It hasn't increased since we moved in in 2016 though and having rightmoved similar houses in our area they are £150-£250 a month more than we're currently paying so I guess that's fair enough.
Half term starts tomorrow. Going out tomorrow night to see Dune (a film i've been waiting to come out since they announced they were in production- one of my favourite sci fi books ever) I've hoarded the free cinema tickets from my bank since June in anticipation so it'll only cost me £4 in film snacks which I'm going to get from Home bargains.
Daughter is being looked after by our friends with the pugs (the ones 15 minutes away) so she's delighted. I took her to the shop last night as she wanted to buy some dog treats with her pocket money!

So I've heard back from Financial Ombudsmen on one of my bank debts. (Credit card) The bank has offered to refund all interest and charges I paid on the account since 2016 until the accpunt was closed in late 2019- they're going to offset it against the money I owe them so hopefully thay should mean the amount I owe on my DMP should have a nice chunk taken out of it.
I can't remember what the APR on the credit card was so I'm awaiting the letter from the bank to tell me how much the refund will be.Bottom line;

I’m not sure if it’s the same as payday loans @Kakiste but if so they should also remove anything to do with the transactions from your credit file xPennies starts again...........2022 - £13,579.220

According to the financial ombundsmen they aren't going to remove the negative markers and the ombusmen agrees that this was fair. Which is fine, its about half way through the 6 years at the momentBottom line;
