Went for a day out for the last day of the half term as suggested by my Sister in law and her partner. We had a great time, they bought us lunch (I've now had 5 guys! i was very impressed!) Which saved me a packet. I bought us a cafe stop mid afternoon which came to £12 in total.
Also went and played 10 pin bowling. (i won)
Daughter was massively chuffed as Sister in law took her to build a bear to get a belated birthday present. Daughter was unaware of the existance of that shop so is thrilled having got to make her own teddy.Bottom line;

Car passed its MOT with no advisories.
I spent £80 on a full set of part worn tyres from the scrapyard round the corner a few days before. The service work that needs doing is going to happen at the end of the month but I've for the money put aside for it.
Still haven't had the letter from the bank (2 weeks now) They have 4 weeks to get in contact with me (according to the financial ombudsman) so I'm imagining that they'll wait until week 4.
Today I'm off to a garden center with my dad for lunch. I'm buying him lunch as its his birthday and ive bought him a new thermos to take out to his allotment and some nice wine. My daughter has also insisted I buy him an 8 pack of bounties! "It's grandad's favourite chocolate"Bottom line;

Hillariously dad had run out of bounties the night before and his local supermarket had none on the shelves so he'd had a bit of a panic.
So daughter's present was a definite win.

I had a shufty through my filoxfax of paperwork today and found the APR of the credit card. It was 16.9% which at a very rough calculation the interest alone on my balance across 3 years should be something like £1200, not including any charges (which they've also agreed to refund)
The refund should with any luck go most of the way to completely clearing my remaining credit card debt (£1800) and significantly alter my DMP length.
Got friends staying tonight and tomorrow. Been too long since I've seen these ones. (Pre-covid) so its lovely to be able to catch upBottom line;

Great news on the refund for credit card interest and look forward to seeing how much comes off the DMP. Just had another email from the Financial Ombudsman- they've also upheld my complaint about my previous overdraft and they've sent a letter to the bank to say that they should offset all interest and charges from my overdraft from early 2016 until they closed the account in 2019. The bank have 10 days to respond but if they agree with their recommendations then that should be yet another big chunk off my DMP. Still haven't had any contact from the same bank about the offer they made on my credit card 4 weeks ago but I've highlighted the lack of contact to the Financial Ombudsman and he says that he will chase it up.
Just waiting on the judgement from the last one (the big one) now- that was for my personal loan which in the end was something like £17K so the interest payments on that will be significant (possibly even enough to clear half my remaining DMP) but I'll wait and see what they say about that.
Had a really nice weekend- had friends over to game yesterday- we were playing the original Diablo which was a blast from the past- My laptop kept crashing though so in the end I ended up doing some planning for school instead- but still enjoyed myself.Made a roast for everyone entirely (minus the gravy granules) made from food group items.
Going to have vegetable pad thai for dinner tonight. Nom

Ofsted are in! Eeek! Frantic day of lesson planning and sharpening resources before they are into lessons tomorrow. They're deep diving my subject as well so i've got an in depth interview with the inspector either tomorrow or Thursday. Wish me luck!Bottom line;
