I've got a root canal this afternoon- dreading it- I absolutely hate anything to do with teeth or dentists so I'm going to grimace my way through it.
However on a positive note, Daughter is at a friend's house to sleepover tonight (they've got a hot tub so she is very excited!) so we are going to the cinema with some friends to see the new Thor film- I've got the 6 free tickets from my bank perk again and bringing my own snacks from home so costing us nothing.Bottom line;

Dentist was rubbish. He took the temporary filling out (that was put on in July) and my tooth was still really inflamed so he couldn't do the root canal. He cleaned it (very painful) and then packed it full of medicine to help settle the area and then put another temporary filling in and will look at it again in mid-October. Cost me £68 which is irritating but at least it's out of my savings now rather than any debt.
Daughter's birthday is next week. Bought a few of her presents but still need to order the main one. Husband has given me half of her birthday party costs so I'm at least splitting that equally. Going to have a conversation about the presents either tonight or tomorrow night.Bottom line;

Daughter has been ill for the past two days so I've stayed off to look after her. Much better today and has happily gone into school. Which is great timing as it's her birthday party tomorrow.
Most of her presents have already arrived, there's one arriving today but it's being delivered to the local post office so I'll swing past on the way home from work and pick it up.Bottom line;

Party was excellent. Went off smoothly and daughter had a blast.
I've put batteries into all presents that required them and then wrapped everything last night- that way it gives me time to put up decorations tonight after she's in bed.Bottom line;

Daughter loved her birthday presents- managed to get half the money for her presents so I'm not out of pocket. We're going out to a trampoline park tonight and then have pulled pork in the slow cooker for when we get home. (daughter's request)Bottom line;

Glad your daughter had a nice birthday
How was the trampoline park? It sounds like so much fun, I'll have to see if there is one nearby to take my godson to

It's really fun- we went with two friends and had a great time (clearly midweek late evening is the best time to go as there were only 10 of us in the whole centre!Bottom line;

Went to a wedding this weekend- absolutely lovely. Nice to catch up with friends I haven't seen for a few months. This weekend my daughter has two birthday parties to go to and the following weekend we have a bunch of friends staying at ours for a catch up and hobby training weekend.
I need to get cracking on sewing again- My wrists and fingers have been aching for the past few weeks as the weather gets colder but if I don't sew then I don't make any extra money so I need to get cracking.Bottom line;

Got my payrise! £240 extra a month with the promise of another payrise at the end of this academic year also.
Going to send another meter reading once I get home so that it's in before the hike on the 1st, I have however kept my gas/electric account in the black so the extra money from the government will hopefully balance out the increased price over the winter months.
Also been adding husband slowly to household utilities accounts- so that it's an easier process to remove myself from them once I have a house to move out to. He's added to the water bill and the internet bill already, going to add him to the utilities bill in a few weeks time. (I'm doing it slowly so it doesn't look suspicious or rushed)
