ASB hope you feel better tomorrow.
Goodintentions (whispering quietly so as not to offend anyone else) I got my SEISS payment today too.
Pigpen I'm afraid I wouldn't know what to do with an under 16!!
Ionafan glad I'm not the only one addicted to online jigsaws.
Was determined to get a wiggle on today and stop being my natural sloth. Mr N and I have re-started last year's "Sunday evening garden list". We walk round the garden, guess when, and list everything we want to do that week, however small. That way, we end up with a load of tasks actually completed rather than starting one then getting sidetracked so lots of things are left unfinished. In theory anyway. So today we planted out the sunflowers, pruned dead bits out of the Strawberry tree, pulled all the bluebells and forget-me-nots out of the "Acer bed" to give a bit of space for everything else that is struggling to grow there, deadheaded the osteosperms. I tried to order more bird food but they had run out of the small soft suet balls so I'll have to check another day.
- wudupa, cleared kitchen surfaces, wiped down, swept kitchen floor.
- one load through wm and hung out.
- filled bird feeders.
- watered greenhouse, pots/baskets and veg bed.
Part of the sunflower planting was to clear away debris (more ex bluebells - the garden is plagued with them) in the 'conservatory bed' which involved removing a number of flag iris. They are lovely but multiply like crazy and were threatening even to outdo the bluebells. I put a note on the local FB to say that I'd put them on the front drive, no fighting please as there were enough for 2 plants each. 13 plants put out, 5 people answered, 4 later reported they hadn't got any. So either one greedy person or several who hadn't indicated that they wanted any had scooped them up within 10mins. So I have now messaged the unlucky 'losers' to say I will dig up some more.......
We don't have a summer house with doors, but we do have a structure we fondly call the bus shelter, a sort of circular hut with a seat and roof we got I believe from BanQ. We also have a seat which used to be a bath......when we moved in 30yrs ago the bath was one of those cast iron ones on legs. After thinking it would be worth a fortune and finding out that nobody wanted it, we retired it to the garden as a plant container. Mr N has just cut one side off, put a plank in it, made a hinged backrest which folds down to be a lid and, with cushions, we now have a seat under the clematis trellis. Not sure that counts as flying although he put a lot of work into it and it is domestic............I'll get my coat.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.12 -

Morning all
Wide awake club reporting in! A belated thank you for the lists and all the work that goes in to them. X
Yesterday I had a niggling headache all day, I struggled through paid stuff and dailies but it was like wading through treacle, I was hoping to be well rested and feeling perkier today but my brain had other ideas and woke me at 4!
Not sure what will be on my list today, dailies and paid stuff definitely and then see what time and energy I have left.
GWS vibes, hugs etc to those in need.... back later x7 -
Morning...I had a semi productive day yesterday. Cats toilets thoroughly scrubbed and sweet smelling..ran DW X3. Sorted lots of recycling. Degibbled DS and DD4 room. Decluttered bathroom baskets. Took kids out on their bikes along the seafront (as it's nice and flat and I can cope with it)
Nipped into Mr T, got loads of Tiger Bread Batons for 11p each, which has filled up the freezer nicely. DD4 decided after the weekend being back inside the house, she wanted another night in the tent........that makes 8 nights out of 10 under canvas. Last week with wind chill it felt like 2° overnight but she was keen to stay out and we were very toasty with 3 duvets and layers of clothing and dressing gowns. I knew we wouldn't need all 3 double duvets last night, so I've slung one in the wash....we started with just one duvet with the other roll up at the bottom of the tent.i woke at 4am to find she had kicked off the duvet and put just her dressing gown over herself for some weight.
Spent 1 hour in the house, picking up bits and rehoming them, came back to tent to snooze then heard rain.....so I've quickly dragged my patio sorting projects under cover and will carry on properly later....
Hugs, sticks and spoons XXX back.laterThe cold never bothered me anyway8 -

Morning
awake early despite a late night so I have put a wash on.
discovered ITV3 are rerunning Downton Abbey from the start so I am recording it as I never watched it before. My mum had to do a fair bit of explaining when we went to see the film!
Made excellent progress with DD's knitted polo top (Prima pattern) but I just need to finish the baby cardigan as babe turned up a week early.
Today I also need to post nephew's card, do Monday's list, today's list and plant my new plants.

Good morning!
I am awake earlier than usual, had a cuppa (thanks to DH) & played a few games on my phone. I *may* get up soon!! 😱😂
Yesterday I did the food shop (my least favourite job!), walked the dog, put on the DW, wiped down the kitchen, pottered in the garden & read some government guidance. I also made a start on some back-to-work paperwork! DH cleaned the bathroom sink & toilet, cut the grass & sorted out the bikes. I think the plan is a bike ride some time this week! 😱 I know I am going to fall off!! 😂😂
Round 1
Get up & dressed
Breakfast (in the sunshine)
Check emails & bank account
Put on WM
GWS wishes to ASB - I hope you are feeling better today. Phone the doc if you don't improve as I think you said it had been a few days.... x

Morning all
I slept in fits and starts last night with vivid dreams - obviously I can’t remember any of them now.
It’s non work day today. I have a long list of outside jobs that I concocted last night, so I am hoping for enthusiasm to tick a couple of those off the list, as it isn’t raining here. The bedroom had a bit of a clean on Sunday, but I need to give the bathroom a going over, go to the village shop for milk, and do something to tidy up the back bedroom. Birthday cards - thank you for the reminder, Valli.DD has had a letter for a scan later this week, so I also need to think about how we are going to tackle that.
Narc0 - a bathtub in a bus shelter sounds like flying to me!!
ASB - I hope the nasty bug has gone. X7 -
Yesterday I made it to the GC, where everything was beautifully organised but they had only a top brand, top price wire paving brush, so I came home with a bag of potting compost and another of vermiculite, and treated myself to a shallow planter to sit on top of the water butt that stands just outside out LR window and is visible from inside. Then [drumroll please] after Rosie's walk and our evening meal I finally sowed the seeds in the "flowerbed" (more like a pebble and sand bed at the moment) alongside the drive. In doing so I emptied one A4 x 6cm deep plastic drawer which contained envelopes and paper bags of seed that I had collected over the years since 2009 [hangs head in shame] - that was when we were still in the old house!!! Probably almost none of those seeds will germinate, but there's always a chance, and I have mixed them with various (relatively) new packets of wildflowers and other bee-friendly varieties that I have no room for in our garden, most of which I received with magazines. Hopefully something will come up, as it was drizzling very slightly as I worked, then I used the sprinkler head to water the seeds down into the cracks between the stones, and this morning the sun is warming them.
Today I plan to
- put out the tomato and courgette plants - still hardening off, definitely getting stronger
- do the Flying dailies
- phone my friend S and see if she wants to meet me tomorrow for a socially distanced chat in the open space near her house. Her mental health has deteriorated badly over the past few weeks
- sow more flower seeds in pots and trays, leaving unopened just those packets that will still be in date next year
- sow more salad seeds in the raised bed
- fill the new water butt planter with snapdragons
- clear the back border in the back garden and cut back the ivy on the fence behind
- plant out the rest of the things in pots and trays in the resulting spaces
- walk Rosie
- cook tea
- collapse in a heap on the sofa and be bored by TV watch The Repair Shop, maybe sort a few more old family photos at the same time.
Hope all the poorlies are feeling better and everyone has a good day today. (((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed xx8
