Round, you really make me laugh.
I still haven't moved.Spend less now, work less later.11 -
Thank you Natty and Valli for listys. Apologies I was completely missing in action last week and most of the week before.
There has been some major decluttering underway, but my headspace hasn't been right to do and it still wasn't right but I decided while there are no school runs to do the circumstances are right to get things sorted.......(although this actually meant I have a load of gibble left on my patio overnight as I ran out of daylight and energy last night).
I really need to turn my attention to inside the house as it's really drifted these last 10 days or so......so be prepared to see lists with strike through on them. But first, I must finish what I started before we get any rain......I will try and check back tonight.
Hugs, sticks and spoons for all in need xxxThe cold never bothered me anyway10 -
Morning all
We have hugely ambitious plans to turn our square of grass with a path down the middle into a haven of twisty paths, huge dramatic plants, a bubbling water feature and decked area. We did start last year by getting rid of one half of the grass, this is now gravel with raised beds for veg, however, like everyone else our plans need money (more of it than I thought at first). Round, I am with you, I think you need a basket of flowers with that look as well.
Workout done, shower, breakfast and into my office for the day. Need to get moving!10 -
Good morning!
My plan was to be up & dressed by 8. Erm! I am still in bed 😂 I have had 2 cups of tea, and I have heard DH clattering in the kitchen 😊 Bank accounts have been checked already, and the SEISS grant payment is in my account! 🥳
Round 1
Get up & dressed
Breakfast
Put on WM
Round that sounds idyllic! My dream would be a large (enough) house with a view (of fields, or the sea) and a decent sized garden 😁
Have a good day everyone!

Morning All
Loving everyone's dream houses/cottages/lives - I could go with Round's suggestion too.
So far today I've WULTD, cleaned the surfaces, walked the dog and dropped DS off at the SA. Going to have some breakfast now and then see what I get up to next! I'm undecided between the DR, LR and conservatory!
Have a good day all
Hugs

It seems I have a lot of what everybody thinks is a perfect house! Reality is a crumbling old farmhouse with dilapidated orchard, a garden full of weeds and builder's rubble and a paddock stuffed full of smelly, hungry animals, all of which costs a small fortune each month to just maintain, not even improve. Throw in six dogs, two small boys and a husband working from home and it's almost wonderful...
Kitchen is sparkling. I've just rummaged in the static caravan and found some granite worksurface polish, so I might even give it a blitz with that later. Another cup of tea needed and the dogs are mithering for their breakfast, so that's next on the list.
Glad to hear somebody got a grant from the Government! Bah! Humbug!10 -
I moved. Am now dressed and having another cuppa.Spend less now, work less later.10

Sorry Dizzy! 😥
Washing is swishing and I am having breakfast on the patio.
Round 2
Hang out washing
Water the garden (I cba last night!)
Make a meal plan/shopping list8 -
Round 1 completed + two loads of washing pegged out, clean towels taken upstairs, more goosegrass pulled up, honeysuckle watered. Yesterday I pulled up a load of goosegrass from among the honeysuckle and behind the shed. This morning I saw that Charlie's grave was being invaded, so I've cleared that. (In case anyone doesn't know Charlie was the most amazing budgie that ever lived and for a little bird he left a very big hole in my heart. Just in case anyone thinks I've buried an ex in the back garden!!!)
jazee - glad I make you laugh
YL - it would have to be a wicker basket , or a trug. Oh yes a trug. I would love to waft around with a trug.
Goodi - that sounds lovely, and more realistic than my wish list
jue - we could waft together occasionally in the local village and take afternoon tea whilst swopping our abundance of home grown vegetables
Dizzy - orchard envy here now. Is there a pig in there? NDN used to have a pig called Wilbur - he sometimes escaped and I'd go out to find him rooting up my back lawn (aka patch of grass, moss, daisies and thistles). I used to dream about marrying a farmer and having five* sons. Then I went out with a farmer - I'm sure there are nice ones out there too (nuf said), and God was listening as I have one born-to-me son, five* godsons and a goddaughter thrown in for luck. So I am blessed but not in the way I expected to be
Coffee now. Cheers
Rxx
