This is correct and to be honest it’s already going to be stressful enough for them without seeing us in masks.poppy12345 said:[DELETED USER] said:You have a right to ask for protective equipment from your employer. Presumably they will offer some too keep the kids safe as well as you.
PPE is not going to be given to teachers or assistants. I was told this by a SEN teacher and my daughters special school.1 -
How are other countries managing children returning to school?0

Shame the same concern is expressed about the lack of take up for MMR jabs. Harmfull diseases take many forms. Measles was beaten. Now there's a time bomb ticking.0

My daughter is 19 and has a learning disability and seeing people in masks terrifies her.I had an appointment a few weeks ago and the nurse was in full PPE, it wasn't the nicest thing to see. I can't imagine what small children would be like seeing that.0 -
I am not in a union. I am a midday.Spotnpaul said:It's been bad enough as it is, and we'd have many more dead if we just listened to the gaslighting Teflon coated blinkered lot - with their me me me, it's all about me 'opinions.'
You've got a genuine concern, along with many others. Social distancing groups of kids is going to be tougher.
You need to contact your union, and also discuss with your family, like we'll do.
I'm not sure I want my kid going back to mix just yet.
I can't speak to my friends who are middays as they are staying home for one reason or another.0 -

Like a scary episode of Dr Who, I'd imagine. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 3.24% of current retirement "pot" (as at end December 2025)0 -
I think some have very recently gone back. But places like Germany had a lowish death rate compared to us. I have seen pictures of school children in masks but that's not going to happen here. I work in a nursery and had an email the other day re going back on the 1st. They will not be social distancing between children and not between children and carers. And no masks or other ppe.gettingtheresometime said:How are other countries managing children returning to school?0 -
Denmark seem to be managing it quite well, despite similar concerns from parents there at the beginning.gettingtheresometime said:How are other countries managing children returning to school?2 -
They seem to be, but their infection rate has gone up since schools re opened.neilmcl said:

That's been somewhat over reported when it did rise weeks ago when the schools first opened but there was no causal link and in fact the R rate has since come back down.Splatfoot said:
