They have a fixed budget. Spending £400 on a case and insisting on water cooling is buying the spoiler. Now they have less money to actually make it go fast.
    It depends.

Perhaps they wish to get their preferred balance of looks and speed for their budget rather than putting all eggs in one basket for looks or speed.

But since this is the internet, over you to poo-poo the idea that that may be correct.

Now I'm getting a bit cross.  I still have not located my DHL consignment (the Cosmos).  The last time that DHL scanned the consignment was on the 19th.

How long should I give CCL?  I mean, they are selling the cases for £36 cheaper than their nearest competitor.  Should I be patient?  Or should I order another case, from a competitor, for £36 extra?  **sigh**

Have you got anything to put in the case when you get it? Do you just enjoy looking at it?

Well the latest update is that DHL are going to be returning my case to CCL.  I have sent CCL an email requesting that they use a different courier when sending the case back out to me.  If I don't get the case by this time next week, then I will simply have to pay £36 extra...and get the case from a different vendor.  :|

I have just bought the Patriot Viper Steel Series DDR4 16GB (2 x 8GB) 4133MHz Memory Kit from ebuyer for £103.45.

    RAM is so cheap   :)

I remember when I was building my son's gaming PC. We had to have 'aggressive' looking RAM. Aggression is the last thing I would associate with RAM.

So then.  With regard to the Cosmos case.  CCL have said the order has been cancelled and the money will be refunded.  If I still want the case, then I will have to make a fresh order and send them an email requesting DPD for delivery.  The price of the case has gone up though and the DHL price is a tenner extra.

I think I will make a written complaint.
I'll make the new order and pay for delivery first, as I just want the case.
Then I will make the complaint.  Hopefully I will receive a £20 goodwill gesture voucher, to compensate me for my time and patience.

Edit:  I just placed a new order for the Cosmos, from CCL again.  But this time I requested DPD service.  It cost an extra £23.57, including the DPD option.  That is exactly how much I will request back, as a goodwill gesture.

CCL have said they have refunded the original order back to my card, but I haven't received it yet.

And the consignment has incorrectly been assigned to DHL again.  I have just checked the invoice, and it definitely says DPD.  If it is the same driver as last time, then he or she will attempt delivery to the next road down.

This case is going to go missing again...I can feel it in my water...

Edit:  The Cosmos is now in my possession

I ordered the wrong case with the C700M Cosmos.  I have sent it back.  I didn't even open the box.  I have no need for the three headline product features of addressable RGB lighting, a GPU riser card and aluminium front and side panel.  I just want the basic Cosmos.

So I have ordered the Cosmos C700P instead.   And it is £100 cheaper too.  :)
