this pregnancy wasnt planned but the baby is much wanted and will be much loved.

is anyone suggesting i should have aborted because of our housing situation?

Of course not, but you do have a home, most do not

If your a couple in a 1 bedroom house then yes because the child needs his/her own room, but to have another child when room is tight is who's fault? Yours or the councils? Why not wait until you are rehomed into a bigger house? I know the waiting list is long but you cannot blame the council.

You have a roof over your heads, some people have none and some live in a hostel, it's just as well you are not. You are not on the streets.

Ant this is my opinion so keep it clean please :D

why do some assume im going to explode with rage and go off on one? im being quite calm about this (at the moment)
There's someone in my head, but it's not me

It is not always a choice to have children.

If someone is raped, or even just becomes pregnant by accident (no contraception is 100%), if they have religious or moral objections to abortion, what do you suggest that they do? Things are not always as black and white as you make out.

Thats going a bit far isn't it? I didn't say about those cases

When I lost my home (a 3 bedroom house plus all it's contents) I had to live with my mum, who doesn't have the room, but we got by and at least the kids had a roof over their heads, I did get another place but that was due to me having to be housed because of a nutter and safety. If I didn't though i'd probably still be with my mum, would I have been selfish to have another child when my mums home was overrun?

    Anyway I've said my bit.

Kimberley, I'd love to have another child. Do you think if I go to the council and tell them I want rehoming to a bigger property because I am thinking of having another child, they will give me one? Will they heck :rotfl:

(I don't rent from the council btw)

I believe there are 6 in Fred's family. Twin daughters of ~17years, a son of 16 then a younger daughter aged 11 ish. Plus of course Fred and his wife.
To me that is a 3-bed house then.
3 daughters in the largest bedroom.
    Husband/wife in the next largest.
    Lad in the box room

    Easier to find and cheaper.

Is your LA going to do the new method where you are allocated a certain amount depending on what they perceive as your needs? There will certainly be a ceiling on what will be paid via HB leaving you to make up the shortfall if there is one.

I know a 4 bed is what you want but could you consider a 3 bed with a dining room that could be used as a bedroom, this could be cheaper and easier to find. Why are you having to move? Is the property being sold?

Not sure if are LA is going to be using the new method, I will have to find out.
Yes we would go for a 3 bed house, as you said its a cheaper option plus it will be a little bit easier to find. The reason for us leaving has something to do with the owners needing cash fast as they are moving abroad.
Have you got a job yet?

    NO? Then :shhh:
