If we had not taken this house we would have been homeless, we didnt want to so begrudgingly we took it on the housing advisors word that the next 4 bed was ours

So it is the point, we were let down by the council.

And yet again it's taken you how long to do something about it??

Who said I have never tried to do something about it? I haven't needed to mention it on here up to now.
We were happy where we were? where? The other house before this one?

I think overcrowding is just a marker.

If there are greater needs and no houses, it won't magic houses out of thin air.

It just probably means that when a property becomes available, those deemed overcrowded are moved before those not deemed overcrowded.

    I can identify with that.

We live in quite a rough area and I would like to move, however because myself and two DDs live in a three bedroomed house, the chances of moving are zero because we are more than adequately housed.

Prority will be given to those in more need, which is only fair really.

did you stay on the list though? keep in touch? harrass them by phone or in person?

when we had chops, even though we are in council accom. we still had to re-register for re-housing.

Yes we stayed on the list. Housing down here changed after we moved in and list the proerties available every tues, which I look at religiously on the off chance of a 4 bed house.
So there is no point harrassing them as I did before we moved in here, in fact they were sick of the sight of me as I was in the office everyday.

But...can you not see from the council's point of view you were adequately housed  so i assume you weren't classed as high priority. I think i've said this already but there's always hope...
