Third load of washing pegged out - sun is shining now
It's a friend's daughter's 40th birthday today - so I've added some photos to fb of birthday girl as a tot.

Hi all
Thanks for the special hug Round xx. One load of washing out, dog walked, finance spreadsheets updated, stocktake done and food cupboards reorganised.
DH and DS1 are going fishing tomorrow. DS is supposed to be shielding but he really wants to get out, and he is old enough to decide for himself. They have got plans to go somewhere they are fairly sure will be quiet, but will come straight home if its busy. This probably leaves me and DS2 home alone which nothing much to do and nowhere to go.
Because I messed up our Asda order and we dont get another shop until Thursday I got a delivery from our local farm shop. OMG how expensive are they? I get that their meat and cheese is locally produced and good quality but £1.55 for one pepper!!! I wont be making that mistake again.8 -
2x WM1x TD.. now I get to pair 4000 odd socks!

I have a box of flingage and put all the duplo and blocks separately and the outdoor toys in the shed. I have the keepy stuff one side of the room and the rest nearer the door.. I spent the day pottering in the garden. All of the bedding plants are planted, seedlings have been potted on, some seedlings have been moved to the cold frame, and some from indoors moved to the shed. I hope to plant some of them out in the next few days. Front garden & patio swept, garden table has been cleaned. I can have breakfast on the patio tomorrow if it is sunny 😊 I am pleased that it is all done now, just need to keep it watered and weeded.
Dinner cooked, DW on. I have caught up with some stuff off the telly box tonight.
I am going to update my toots list (and cross some stuff off!) and then it is bed time. Night night everyone.6 -
I too have pottered in the garden - but I did start the day by hoovering all round and dusting the LR. This evening Rosie has shed lumps of hair from her thick undercoat everywhere again!
I have shifted pots and tubs round, planted out my runner beans and peas, and used up some of the growing bags that were left over from last year. I have also begin sowing some more flower seeds, and I have done the hokey cokey with the tomatoes, courgettes and cucumbers again. I've also found a home for 2 of the cucumber plants, which means that I can cope with all the rest. Rosie has had her walk and I have had long phone conversations with my eldest goddaughter and several friends from church. DH has been fed, and Rosie has been brushed. So much hair came out that it's a wonder we still have a dog. Oh yes, and when I put her out in the garden last thing, I discovered what had been eating one of my hostas: 6 large snails have been given flying lessons into the lane.
G'night all. Hope you all have sweet dreams xx6 -
Morning all
I didn’t get to post again yesterday, I finished cleaning the whole house and DH painted all the outside of our fence. He still has some inside panels to do but they are more fiddly, some may have to wait until autumn when the plants have died back a bit but we will see.
Today is going to be a pottery sort of day I think, there are a few garden jobs to be done, I’m pretty tired after a poor nights sleep so will take it at a slow pace and see how I get on.
Have a good one xx5 -
Morning xx
Opened the curtains this morning to see two wood pigeons having a race - on footOne on each side of the road, both power walking up the hill. So the day has started with a smile. I've made my bed, chucked bleach down the loo, and drunk my first brew.
Round 1 =
breakfast and a second brew
get washed and dressed
feed the birds
fill the bird bath
put out the recycling
WUDUPA a bowl of pots
Back later. Have a good day

Morning all. Apart from a two and a half hour walk through the countryside around us yesterday I did nowt, so first load of lots of washing is in the machine. Going to go slowly again today but I'll still achieve more than yesterday.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Morning all,
I also didn’t get to post yesterday. It was a pottering about in the greenhouse kind of day, interspersed with a flurry of washing and ironing. A quick trip to the allotment confirmed my fears - potatoes ravaged by the heavy frosts last week as I couldn’t find anything to cover them with (and hoped they would be sheltered and banked up enough). Fingers crossed that they might recover and all is not lost.
Today is a Must Do Better kind of day, but it isn’t starting off too well - still drinking tea and flicking through the Saturday supplements.
Have a lovely day all.6 -
