@john_ I’ve never said I can’t cope with the job. I said I can’t cope with the atmospheres0

I’m actually bored of this now. People don’t seem to be offering advice other than I’m the issue. So therefore I’ll just follow my doctors advice of getting signed of.... which helps no one.0

I don't know what advice you want exactly. You've been given 3 options by your employer, you have no other options.

I offered a constructive post. Many of us have suffered experiences at work. Following the correct procedure is the way of protecting oneself financially. Even if it means moving on.oneninezeropop said:I’m actually bored of this now. People don’t seem to be offering advice other than I’m the issue. It’s hard to see what anyone could do about this then. No-one’s going to work to change the atmosphere at work solely because one person finds it hard to deal with. This is just how workplaces are. if you get signed off and try to make this a long-term solution then it’ll likely lead to dismissal on capability grounds. It sounds like your best two choices are to learn to love with it or to leave.oneninezeropop said:@john_ I’ve never said I can’t cope with the job. I said I can’t cope with the atmospheres
You write up above that people are suggesting that it’s your fault, that’s not the case, but it’s definitely your problem, and it’s one that may not have a solution.6 -
See I just ignore the instant messages.be it to do with customer or colleague. Keep out of it by ignorance. And I work for a company where it was probably a load of mates to begin with.
I am covering maternity leave and by my third day the lady was off for the first day which was apologised for, but I am kind of a realist - eg. the job wouldn't exist otherwise.
My last job unset me terribly, knifes in the back when least expected so I did tell them partly where to stick it and it felt good if I am being honest. Although I did end up bottom of the pile and literally accepting whatever came my way next. I also in previous role went from being in a room of catty females pretty much with separate job roles, to being the only one from next month so pick your resting peace well.

Have you just made one post about workplace bullying? If so that’s different to the current situation. But thanks anyway.Thrugelmir said:

If I'm being blunt I really just don't actually care about you or the specifics of your situation, sorry.
Stress is the body's reaction to any change that requires an adjustment or response. The body reacts to these changes with physical, mental, and emotional responses. Stress is a normal part of life. You can experience stress from your environment, your body, and your thoughts.Autumn868 said:You seriously just need to toughen-up then to be honest.... (By a large amount).
Real actual stress is caused by real actual problems (such as if a family member is critically ill in hospital / you are at risk of becoming homeless / you have been falsely accused of a criminal offence)...
All you've described is a mild petty annoyance of that ''you don't enjoy hearing your co-workers complain to eachother about their jobs/their manager'', as you find it annoying to hear about.
That's life though | So you just gotta learn to toughen-up and deal with it.
You aren’t the gate keeper of what is or isn’t stress. Also I’m not going into specifics of what they have been doing.
You don't like you colleagues... So what? That's life. No-one cares | So just toughen-up and get on with your job, or quit.
(No-one apart from you actually cares either way which of those 2 options you do)
Life is stressful, so just toughen-up and learn how to cope with it, rather than being a drama-queen about every little thing.

But you’re not sick...oneninezeropop said:I’m actually bored of this now. People don’t seem to be offering advice other than I’m the issue. So therefore I’ll just follow my doctors advice of getting signed of.... which helps no one.1 -
Thats just offices for you!oneninezeropop said:@Autumn868 I can’t quote for some reason. I get on with my work and don’t get involved in their chats. I do the best work and I’m saying that I can’t cope because it’s a constant stream of stress. Literally every week it’s drama and the constant bitching about everyone in the company is annoying. Lack of goals, 121s or even support in CV.2
