Really enjoyed reading your diary and finding it motivational. Am in awe of how driven you are to pay off the debt and save for a mortgage deposit. You’ve inspired me to do the same and I’ve subscribed to your diary. Looking forward to the day you finally buy your house.
Thank you, I am really focused at the minute, long many it continue.  Good luck to you too, once you get off the starting blocks it certainly becomes a lot easier. I moved a £1 into savings today and was excited by that ! Lol

Thanks Suzanne, trying a different tactic now to keep me motivated and keep my impatience in check. Instead of looking at houses now looking at ideas for interiors and using Pinterest to save ideas. Def makes me more focused on saving.

Was fairly naughty today, came across a 20 % off code and ended up getting spendy. Few bits of clothes, skincare and a new coffee mug for work.  Haven’t bought myself much this year so I don’t feel too guilty in fact I think it’s only the second time I’ve bought any clothes! Hopefully Saturday’s lunch out won’t be too expensive no more than £55. Need to reign my friend in when ordering the tapas coz we will just halve the bill. Also nervous to see how much my hairdressers have put the prices up tomorrow as well.

Had hair literally chopped off today, long bob. Usual cut and colour price, glad hairdressers haven’t put prices up. Just day out tomorrow and then spending should be minimal for the rest of the month. It needs to be, feel like I’ve been far too spendy. Need to refocus!

Strange day, but very much a reminder about your health being your wealth. Had a call from dad when I was on my way into town, he fell off a ladder, punctured lung, fractured ribs. Why a 76 year old was up a ladder I’ll never no. Typical one day I go out and can’t get back to help. In bed drained.

Feeling a bit low today today, couple of reasons parents in an ongoing war with each other, dad falling off the ladder, ordering if anybody will be selling next year as there seems to be a flood of houses in the areas I want in my price bracket, worried il need more of a deposit than planned, worried I’ll not get the £ I want for the mortgage due to it being one applicant, spending has been a bit uncontrolled over the last week, tired and could use a couple of days off work, stressful time again in work.

Anyway got to try and pick myself up. As someone said in another thread you can only focus on what you can control.

Need to try and have a healthy week this week food wise, haven’t lost any weight or been focused on it in yonks.
    Buy some fruit.
update balances, look at August budget and see if anything can be trimmed to maximise savings.
    No non essential buys.
Try and block out parents war as background noise.
Off now to try a find something gritty and engrossing to watch.  Currently have just tattoo of us on by default lol
