Was off work today and ended up hitting primark, seems I can never have too many cosy socks. £82 later.... wasn’t planned but it’s done now, keep on saying it but I’m so ready to say goodbye this year and start afresh with new targets.

On a plus though, did get a Sherpa throw at £16, on trying it out can confirm it’s very warm and cosy and will save on heating costs

Sorting through accounts today and tidying things up. Having a relaxing morning before I go to the gym. My Halifax Regular Saver expires in dec so next year it will be up to me to move that across into my Marcus savings. Trying to work out how to manage decembers pay packet, want to keep some back so I don’t feel deprived and want to pay a bit off my credit card and bump up fees savings a bit. Hard to no at the minute what il have to play with as I should hopefully be getting my pay rise and it will be backdated too. Who knows though with the way things are going. Nothing is certain. I will also need to buy new tyres in Jan and I need to get new glasses.  Il be working most of the Xmas period. Need to start on nieces and nephews presents next month.

My head was thumping yesterday after work, my team seem to have been hit with a lot of personal problems over the last while, one even being arrested. Last night I got into the car and drove, didn’t no where I was going, didn’t care just knew I needed a change of scenery.  Ended up in Superdrug, bought a few bits about £25 worth. Also picked up a Five guys.  Do I regret the money spent no, I needed it, the break the change for my mental health.  My team are banging on about the election this morning, taxes and furlough. All totally negative trying to drown it out.

Happy to see the weekend, spent all afternoon fast asleep after I finished work.  Minimal spending planned for the weekend, plans are to try and Rest, make bolognese and feel better for returning to work on Monday. 2 weeks today until payday. Only two more to go and this year is over can’t believe it. Have about £100 quid left til payday so that will cover petrol and groceries, will try and keep everything to a minimum to see if I can squirrel something across into savings.

Down a jean size this morning, hooray been a long time coming. There’s a big old pair now ready for the bin. Just have to keep going now and not get distracted. Our lockdown restrictions are meant to change on Friday, waiting to hear the news. I would hope to get my hair cut before Xmas. Not much else to report, still not feeling great, back in work and trying to get my steps in

Feeling good this morning. Just sorted out my savings for 2021 and worked out exactly what needs to be saved to hit target. I’m better with regular savers where I can’t access the money and am not tempted too. Just one more to set up and that’s it done. That will leave me with £600 per month for groceries, petrol, household bills and general spending which is totally doable.  Decided I’ll just let the regular savers take care of the saving and then il not have to think about it. A different approach to this year where most of it has been in a Marcus account which I have been moving £ in and out so I look forward to not having to think about it etc and allowing myself the £6OO for everything else

Not much plans for this week, other than hold tight with the savings and a couple of gym sessions. Work should be straightforward this week. Here’s hoping

Than you.  Just need to keep going now. Still plenty of time to get into the next stone bracket before Xmas, which is the goal I’ve set myself. Work seems quiet today and everyone very subdued. Think everyone is just fed up and ready for a rest tbh
