Going to have a quick browse round B & M today before the cinema, mind you last day I was in there I dropped a bowl and smashed it lol so they may not want to see me back.
  • Hi Lantanna, I have been following your diary and remember thinking you had set your goals quite high so it won't do you any harm in the long run to be less stringent, we all need to live for now and have some enjoyment!

I recently received a one off payment which I was going to put towards a new boiler but instead I used it to redecorate a room which has been making me feel miserable (maybe not that sensible but so what?) so I get where you are coming from- there needs to be a balance between frugality and being happy.

Thanks Sonyarita, your right. Glad your doing up the room. I think Covid has taken away so much from us we need to make sure we are getting enough enjoyment out of our current lives.  Particularly when we just don’t no what’s round the corner. I’m going to stick to the 6.5 k target for this year now as I no I’ll easily achieve that, nearly there and any surplus can beef up the fees pot.  I should be able to meet my goals and enjoy the last three months of the year without any hardship and that’s a win itself.
  • Hope you had fun in b and m
Just caught up on your whole diary 😂 and well done for getting this far all on your own.
6.5k is still an amazing target don't forget that.

Just went to Poundland in the end and spent £11 so not to bad, enjoyed the cinema. There is something so relaxing going to a near empty show on your own. Currently trying to decide what I’m making for lunch , starving...
  • I agree! I used to go to late night showings and get the theatre to myself. Was brilliant!

Going to try and be more mindful this week about everything I do.  Picking up the Fitbit tomorrow looking forward to that and ready for some healthy eating again too.
Picked up James Smith not a diet book when I was in Asda earlier in the week so going to give that a go and start the self care/mindful notebook tomorrow.  Also going to have 3 early nights so I’m not shattered for heading away on thurs.

Really looking forward to getting away now. Have been making lists of things I have to do daily.  Well...I’ve done it twice now and it’s been a success, sort of a things I need to get done today that will make me feel good. Have set myself an allowance for spending when I’m away, hope to bring back some change. Think with the new restrictions we’ll be having wine in our rooms as opposed to being out. Prob a good thing for the purse strings.  There is a Lidl across the road from the hotel so will prob pick up some wine and snacks in there.   Going to take some pamper goodies with me and do a pamper. Always seems easier to spend the time doing this in a nice hotel bathroom. Will take my olaplex with me, not made up my mind about it yet.   Enjoying having a Fitbit back in my life.  Need to seriously sort out my eating when I come back and not let it just carry on....planning on coming back on Sunday and making a stew

Was talking to a colleague earlier about smoking, I stopped nearly 3 years ago and we worked out if I was still smoking I’d be spending £560 a month on them at todays prices.  Scary as I save about £630 a month now so if I was still smoking I’d be saving hardly anything.
