Had an email from capital one earlier, seems they are going to put some customers with long-standing balances on arrangements. Seems they prob want to get their money before there is further job losses and people default and they maybe never get it back. Hoping I don’t get put on an arrangement as it will effect my credit file. If they do il prob transfer from savings to avoid it

Reading in one of the papers yesterday, first time buyers now needing a 40 per cent deposit due to the current climate. It’s as well I’m on the scenic route.   Looking forward to payday on Tuesday so I can update my figures. Off to the gym today to get my head showered, clatter of redundancies in work and the whole country seems very depressed and worried about the hospitality shut down for the next 4 weeks. Every watering hole in the city seems to be churning out roast dinners for takeaway today. Not sure they’ll have the success they need.  Made an Irish stew last night so look forward to having that after the gym.

I read on another thread about the new 'persistent debt' regulations. If you haven't cleared the balance in the last three years they will either increase the minimum payment or freeze the account. The increase has to be agreed to by the account holder. Prob more to it so worth a google.

Have updated signature with new figures, not much to report this month, savings took a slight dip due to being away and kitting myself out for winter. Happy enough to be on track for my targets during these really unsettling times. I almost feel guilty about being paid and having savings as I know so many are really struggling right now. I feel like I’m done with 2020, I’m ready for 2021 and whatever it brings.  Looking forward to setting new targets for 2021. It should be easier with less debt to pay off. This year I paid off my £950 overdraft, Satsuma loan at £800 approx, repaid PRA £35 a month before managing to get rid of it due to it being unenforceable. I’m sure there’s others I’m forgetting about but a5 least they are gone and my phone and iPad will be paid off early next year too so it should all be good.

Went to look at the outside of a sweet little house today, can’t quite believe I’m actually well on my way and it will actually happen.  Amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it

Such a busy week at work and next week will be too. Plans for the weekend, relax, gym and a roast dinner that’s about the height of it.  As I’ve said before I’m ready to shut the door on 2020.

Enjoy your roast and gym Lantanna - not necessarily in that order.

Weather grey and wet here so a good weekend to curl up with a good book or binge watch something.

Fell asleep this afternoon watching a Xmas film on ch5 lol.  Such a busy week ahead in work this week I have the Sunday night fear.  Made a big pot of veg soup so that will do lunches next couple of days meaning no spending at work
