Applied for BBL on 16 May and just today 10/08 received DOC's to sign. Very slow service from HSBC

Applied for an HSBC feeder account 13 WEEKS AGO, still don't have one! Nothing happened for 3 weeks, then had an email inviting me to apply online which I did. Ever since I have been part way through step 2 (of 4 steps), nothing has changed for 10 WEEKS now. I even wrote a letter of complaint to Head Office in Coventry....no-one has even bothered acknowledging it.  Has anyone else waited more than 3 months just to open a feeder account?

Have you tried speaking to them or using the online chat on the website to probe what’s  happening?

HSBC UK's head office is in Birmingham. 
If you want to send a complaint you're better off submitting it online or via email due to Covid.

Yep!.....3 months, 5 days and today the feeder account has been opened 🤪 Ive applied For the bbl now... How long does that take?

Yep!.....3 months, 5 days and today the feeder account has been opened 🤪 Ive applied For the bbl now... How long does that take?

The BBL should be the quicker part, mine took about ten days from feeder a/c opening.

Hey guys,

Has anyone had to wait 3 weeks or more for the payment to be made in to their account?  I have a feeder account, I've been accepted for the BBL, I signed the echosign docs on the 24th July, but I've received no payment.

I've escalated the issue several times via the dedicated team, I've emailed the commercial complaints team (waiting to hear back) and I've spoken with a 'manager' at the dedicated team who couldn't tell me anything other than 'wait and see'.  The only team I've not been able to speak to is the Business Banking Team, as the automated service kicks me to a general enquiry as I can't answer the security questions due to it being a feeder account.

Everything I've read says the payment should take 2-5 days at most, but I realise there are seemingly bizarre and lengthy delays for some whilst others seem to get through the process much quicker.

Has anyone tried speaking to someone at a HSBC branch?  Or are there any other teams / telephone numbers I should try to call?

Wow, and you've still not received the money?  There must be some kind of escalation route for this.  Has anyone else tried speaking to different departments?
