    Hi All !!!
Applied for BBL on 16 May and just today 10/08 received DOC's to sign. Very slow service from HSBC
My husband applied 14th May. They called a few weeks after to say they had the wrong email address to send the e sign thing to so he updated it. That was mid June. Nothing since!! Why can't anyone at HSBC give you an answer??
  • My daughter made a claim for an HSBC Bounce back loan nearly two months ago, she is still waiting. Despite ringing the bank to try and sort the application out ringing multiple telephone numbers at HSBC she was given for help the reply has always been can’t help you or you need to ring another number, not getting any where at. She now given up having spent many hours on the phone. Is there an appeal body she can contact who may be able to help resolve this shambles?
  • Signed the documents exactly one month ago today re:BBL/Feeder account. Managed to speak to someone on live chat whilst waiting on hold on the phone. Apparently, I've done everything I need to do and they are waiting on their side, specifically the Account Opening Team who they 'expect' to review in the next few days.

Will update in the next few days. I'm not hopeful judging by some of the comments here regarding how long people have had to wait, however I feel like it is a case of if I failed to follow up, things would continue at snail pace. I think a little nudging is required.

Update to this. After speaking with customer support who told me it would be done in a few days, I have just received an email from HSBC telling me that my application has been saved, along with the application number.

Yes, this is the exact same email I received over a month ago, prior to them sending the documents. The email gives you the application reference number along with the link to check your status, which I did....and it's exactly the same as before Re: Pre-Approval stage. So for whatever reason they have updated my application but it remains 'stuck' in the pre-approval stage (meaning the loan hasn't even been approved yet). Will follow up with them Monday.

Hi, all I have waited 2 months for the Eco Sign documents, called many times, but they asked me to wait and wait,
I have sent an email to Complaint team and cc the Ceo, and got the documents next day, signed it and money was in account in 2 hours!
  • I got a HSBC bounce back loan 3 weeks ago. 3 days ago I had a nasty letter from them saying I had stopped the repayment direct debit and they had been unable to take my first repayment!! !!!!!!...bounce back loans are supposed to be repayment free for first 12 months. After 4 hrs of trying to speak to them I have given up. Will now withdrawal the loan money, find an HSBC branch and pay it back. Appalling service.
  • Hi,
I Applied for the BB loan on 14th July, iv'e heard nothing back since the "we have your application" email since then.
I also have a Natwest account, i wish i had applied with them first!

Question: Can I apply with Natwest now? Since iv'e not heard anything back from HSBC, it's taking far to long, and we need the money.

You would have to cancel the first application before applying elsewhere, and you then run the additional risk that the first application remains as live on the banking system, so NatWest would turn you down.
