Signed in 16th and then again in 24th. Still waiting for funds. Ringing is pointless they can tell you nothing
Exactly the same story. Was yours a feeder account.
Yes it was (is).  So far I have complained to ‘complaints’ - no response.  Phoned multiple tunes and emailed - they answer the phone but can tell you nothing even when you give them all the details.
I have now complained to use MO who says he will get in touch with a regional contact.  We shall see.
Sort code for feeder is my local Harrogate branch.  Thinking of going into the branch and making a huge fuss. I am an HSBC premier customer on the personal side.  Will be closing my accounts as soon as this is all resolved.  They are hopeless!!!

Last person I managed to talk to at HSBC said that maybe HSBC shouldn’t have taken this on.  Not much help to us.

We unfurloughed several staff once we were told loan was approved.  Wish we hadn’t.

Well I applied on the 4th May. After lots of calls And to Hsbc 5 weeks after the 4th of May I had a email from Hsbc saying on the online form I filled in I was 1 digit out on my account number so was told to reapply and it would only take a few days. I reapplied on the 9thof June but nothing. I rang up last week and was told it would be sent to a case handler and should be sorted with in days. Again nothing, have rang today 90mins on the phone only to be told I will just have to wait and it could be weeks. I have a business account with HSBC for over 12 years, personal account 30 years, mortgage with them, investments with them and I think it’s a disgrace how they are treating customers. When all this is over I will be moving EVERYTHING away from Hsbc

Well same here. Those with error from the 16th echosign has mostly drawn-down over more than a week ago (last I heard was Monday this week). So not sure where the delay is.. no visibility on their drawdown queue. I wonder if anyone who signed after 18th already got funds?

I'm in the same boat - existing business customer, double signed the echo on 16th/24th and nothing since...registered complaint, escalated with hsbc..nothing. Tried emailing various heads of depts that others have reported having success with..nothing.
But get this..I decided to try and apply again this morning using my existing account and it let me apply again!
    It's really bad isn't it!

Be very careful with that, if the first application is still being processed then a second application is in breach of the terms and conditions, can result in both being cancelled and in some people's cases has resulted in CIFAS flags which means that they can not get any form of loan.

Thanks for the heads up. I'd read that HSBC had told some people on the phone to try reapplying in order to see if their existing application was valid, since quite a few mistakes had been made and applications lost. Since both applications are with HSBC you would certainly hope they wouldn't punish people so hard for simply applying twice since their system can't always detect the existing application.

hey did you hear the one about the chancellor that offered the self employed a loan in their back accounts within 48hrs, yeah me too!

OK heading into week 8 (full arc below) and have spent 5 weeks in Feeder creation, i kid thee not. While my lady (hello Debbie) is great and i cannot fault her doing all she can she is up against it with apparently the screening being the thing that is causing huge bottlenecks here. 2 thousand new people a week (actually that might be per day so dont' quote me!) are coming on board and it sounds like its getting worse for the departments dealing with it.  As i understand it they havn't taken on any new staff through this process. In fairness i'm without a business account (First Direct personal account) and boy am I paying for it. I though about busting out of here to Barclays and going that route with a new biz account but i'm so invested with this. My partner by contrast is with Natwest, all wrapped up in 4 days for her, don't even get me started with that!   I won't waffle on, i just check in each week to give a quick view of my arc below to maybe help others. For anyone at the 2,3, 4, or 5 + week stage you need to strap yourself in co's if it's anything like mine you are in for a seriously long haul and i applied way back in May.  I know there are exceptions but lets face it we all want to hear worst case scenarios really  to brace ourselves for, I thank you.

    My Arc
May12th:  applied for 3k loan with HSBC using my First Direct current account, got auto email back and turned it round again.
A lot off nothing follows here with regular a regualar weekly  phone calls to the staff at home working for HSBC
June 8th  :  Today when i ring  the operative tells me I probably should get a feeder account and takes my details and says someone will call me sometime in the weeks ahead - so that's nearly 4 weeks wasted.
June 12th;  The feeder account lady calls me and we spend a good 40 mins going through the feeder account application (a credit search will arise from this). I'm then told the feeder account could take a week to be accepted (or not) and then I can apply for the loan (again),  i'm told this could take another month.(!)
June 26th   Currently still amidst the feeder account creation process with bits of info going back and forth
July 3rd  Yes currently still amidst the feeder account creation process for what will be nearly be the 5th week beggining next week. I'm stuck here because the screening section part is bunged up with tons of screening applications as i'm informed by my operative. Chillingly it's nearly been 8 weeks and i'm not even at the door of the department who says yay or nay to my loan application which is unbelievable.
  • I applied for a HSBC feeder account on 6 May over the phone (2 days trying). I gave some details and was told I’d receive a call in 3-5 days.  Nothing heard until 16 June when I received an email to apply via their digital journey portal. So I did. I received a code In the post next day to confirm my address online, along with a form to provide my signature record. I notice they soft checked my credit file twice on 16 June as well. My on boarding portal still says I’m at the pre approval stage to open the feeder account, and that’s before I can even apply for the bounce back loan! Its now been 2 months to the day.

Similar to above. I applied for a feeder account online last week. Today I received a form for specimen signature, and a letter giving the address verification code: 'Your address must be verified before we can progress to the next stage'. Logged in to retrieve the application as specified, but there is then no indication of how to actually verify the address using the 6 digit code!  Where do you enter this? All the application says is 'pre-appoval stage in progress' Nothing more can be submitted.
After some head-scratching, I rang the helpline, only to be told that , for help with existing applications, it's 'closed while we process applications'. Doh!
This process was presumably devised by a disciple of Franz Kafka...
NB: the specimen signature form asks you to return the form to an address postcoded
CV3 9WN. But the handy Freepost envelope enclosed carries an entirely different address: postcode CV3 2BR. So which is correct?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
