It's looking like it's going to be 3 months of my life all told in this whole process when/if I'm done, absolutely crazy. Depending on your experience it can be the same or longer than applying for a mortgage, your mileage may vary, that's mine though. :(

I Applied way back on the 13th May for the BB and only this week I just got approved for my  feeder account after 9 weeks waiting. I was nearly 5 week in screening (my helpful operative did not know why this was the case and was bemused by it). So after 9 weeks in the system i was finally able to apply for the BB loan, i just hope this part of the process doesn't drag on the same lenght :-(

Exact same issue to above here.... In the portal you can upload documents so I photographed the letter with the verification code and the form with my added signature and individually uploaded them as photographed docs, then with the signature record, I sent to the address on the letter, not the enclosed envelope. When I checked back on the portal, a day or so later, there was a specific request for the Address verification code at the bottom of the screen so I did that again, following the instructions for that and submitted the verification code

Thanks, that makes a lot more sense!
The letter sent makes no attempt to explain this, and whoever wrote it does not appear to have tried or tested the procedure in house. Clearly implemented in haste, but a shambles nevertheless.

I sent the letter back 2 weeks ago I also uploaded and spoke to them on phone as I couldn't input the code they did this for me.

The portal still says at the pre approval stage

I applied for a feeder account at 9am on the 4th of May. All went through fine, was in contact with my advisor who was dealing with request. 2 weeks later I had signed all docs to open account, was given ac number and sort code by advisor. Printed off docs and signed and scanned back to her. Was on the phone doing live session with her, she mentioned I was the first one she had done so I'm guessing I was one of the very first. All went through fine until a day later recieveing email saying they couldn't open me a feeder. I have average credit rating and am a sole trader. After reading all the problems on here I decided to try Barclays. Filled in all online forms for a new business account. Received an email 3 weeks later asking to prove trading, sent tax return and the next day account was all open. I applied online for the loan on Friday and am now just waiting. Im also a member of Tide but never had any hope for them
  • I applied for BBLS Loan with HSBC in 20.06 i received the reference number confirmation immediately, but 3 weeks passed until then and i did not receive the ECHO Sign document yet, still waiting.. I think there is nothing to do just to wait...
PS:  If your application is denied by the lender you receive an email or you just wait and you dont know that your application was denied...?
    Thx.
  • We have been declined for bbl with hsbc. Have a brilliant credit rating so it’s not that. It’s a ltd company but the accountant has a different address to our home address and the company is registered to the accountant. That’s the only reason we can think of. It’s a feeder account we require as our own bank is not doing bbl. Have complained to HSBC so will update when they condescend to get back to us
  • I have a question if someone can help me please:   If your application for BBLS is declined how do you know that? You get an email or not? Is someone here who got declined???

    Thx.

I opened a business account on the 16th June. Applied for BBL and got conformation email. Keep checking account but nothing in and not heard anything from HSBC since then.
