INFO for anyone starting from scratch:
I applied for a HSBC business  account on 16th May (i dont have a personal account with them) and was accepted on the 5th June. I applied for the BBL on the 5th and i received the echo sign doc on Tue 16th @19.30 via email. Signed and submitted but no money received upto Sat 20th.

Applied for a business bank account with HSBC in early May (not a previous customer), got an email saying there are delays, I still decided to go ahead, on 30th received account details and applied for BBL straight away. Received echosign on tuesday 16th at 6:30pm. The document was in my name not in my company's name, I didn't think much of it and submitted. Next day realised thats a problem, emailed them on Thursday stating what went wrong. On Friday, could see balance and BBL but couldn't withdraw, received another echosign (this time in companys name), signed and sent back. This morning the funds cleared in my account.

Hope you all get your loans sorted soon.
  • It said your name where it reads "This is an agreement between "name" and HSBC..''? Same here, who did you email?

Well it’s a new week. Let’s hope the funds drop today (feel like I’ve been saying that every day for ages...)

I emailed various of these people above with a polite informative email and can say it made no difference whatsoever to me in the end, i didn't expect a reply and didn't get one but of course it didn't hurt to try  :-(
It's a numbers game and we are one in over 125K+ people HSBC are dealing with gradually as they work through. When I eventually got a call back from the operative to enable my feeder account they are great and very helpful. For reference i am in week 6 of my application with my feeder account created (almost) and still awaiting any activity in my first direct account. Can't say i've ever waited so long for something formal really, it's getting into the same zone as moving house or a divorce!
