Morning! Sorry I was MIA yesterday!
I got busy in the morning getting stuff done so I could have the afternoon off for the street (in your own garden) party for VE day, we went out at 3ish and I came back in slightly drunk at 10pmit was a fab afternoon and really cheered us all up. We didn't get up till late this morning and I am feeling a little delicate but need to get on!
Today I would like to -

had a lie in and am pottering, though a fair chunk of my time has been munching a HUGE frog... stuff I have been intending to list on flea bay (when I get around to it) has been listed! Wooty wooty woot woot. Even if it doesn't sell this time around relisting is a doddle.
I've also listed something we were chucking out at work - any 'profit' will go to back into school funds. And they do know I have it to sell.
If pegged out bedding etc. and washed up. But DS came home from work and I could smell grease (yuk) and the smoke alarm went off so I'm quite reluctant to walk back into my kitchen *sigh*
I need to move as I am stiffening up - I suppose I should go and face the music.
Oh Round - I too have been hoiking Goose Grass out of the front side border. Round here kids call it 'sticky bud' - chances are I have it in the border because they brought it home when they were younger!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Well that's one in the eye for the Wide Awake boggart! I've been to bed this afternoon and SLEPT. This is something I would normally only do if I was ill - so I've got my fingers crossed that it was lack of sleep catching up with me and not another bug heading my way
. By my reckoning I'm due a bug: January was worst D&V I've ever had; March was worst sore throat I've ever had; now it's May!!! I'm due a bug. Experience would suggest whatever it is it will be superlative
. So I am really hoping that I'm just tired.
Valli - it's awful stuff isn't it? I don't mind a weed or two - eg I leave a few nettles for butterflies, but that goose grass smothers everything. I couldn't believe how much I pulled up. The more I looked, the more there was. The other back border grows ground elder and the front borders are terrorised by bindweed.
Wow! The power of flylady: I'm talking gardens like a grown up!

Rabbit hutch cleaned out. Gin (finally!) sourced so rhubarb gin has been started. Chicken satay for tea with the batch of sauce I made double of and froze half. This makes six portions so more for the freezer!

Hi all
Busy couple of days here, a little studying, lots of fence and gate painting, lots of laundry done, and some sitting quietly in the sun. As Round would wisely say, just being. I have been worried about finishing my coursework for the qualification I need to do then I read something about focusing on the plan rather than the end goal which makes a lot of sense. I am going to just keeping doing a bit every week.
DS1 lit the fire pit last night and we gathered around and chatted about nothing much. All four of us with a bit of music and a few drinks, no phones, gadgets or other distractions, it was lovely. By 9pm it was really too cold to stay out even with the fire.
I am having no trouble sleeping at the moment, getting out of bed on a morning is a challenge though!9 -
