Valli I remember her xPiggers I hope those that are sick feel better soon.Up at 5am and we went to a walk to watch the sun come up over the horizon, it was lovely.Box of hair colour applied to head it looks much better, spurred on by OH taking a photos of the back of my head while out!! horrendous does not describe the black roots / gray hairs............... all gone now, it just needs cutting, may have a wander out and see if I can find any suitable sharp scissors.Otherwise going to watch some of the VE day on telly, I am on flight control for the Red Arrows!! set off time 09.37am currently from Scampton, over London from 10am. They are out over the North sea at the moment.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Round 1 completed + birdbath filled and third load of washing pegged on line.
I sat outside watching the birds and drinking my coffee - I could fair feel my body making Vitamin DSaw my first swifts of the year - summer must be here! Mr & Mrs Blackbird have been to inspect me. And I've watched what-I-presume-are just fledged starlings learning to fly (either that or there are some dodgy fliers about!!!)
Came inside and it's only ten o'clock. As Mum would say 'It's going to be a long day'. Been thinking about Mum as she used to sit outside the back door in a deckchair for hours through the warmer months. She came to mind when I took off my shoes and stood my feet on top of them (to get some air to my feet) and that was what she always did. Funny what you remember.
I'll be ready for more food by the time DS wakes up - around 11am usually; so he can have brunch and I'll have an early lunch - fish fingers sandwiches.
I think I'll wash another bowl of pots - that'll be me caught up with the WU again.

Dailies are done and I'm about to walk the dogs.Spend less now, work less later.8

Loads 1 & 2 dry, so brought in and folded. Load 4 pegged out. Load 5 now swishing. Load 3 is on line and dry, but leaving it there until Load 5 is ready to peg out. Laundry shuffle indeed
All pots washed except for what was used at lunch - baking tray, knife and fish slice (think that's what you call it).

I've walked the dogs, brought the washing in but not put it away yet, and cut the grass back and front. Patio is swept and garden furniture is out. Just going to wash my lunch dishes then I'm spending the afternoon in the garden.Spend less now, work less later.8

Dizzy I did the same as Goodintentions regarding s/e pay and fortunately it said I was likely to be eligible and apply next Monday.
Another wideawake club member here. However I'm sure I am doing less useful stuff each day so determined today will be better.
- made one loaf bread in machine, hoping it's better than last week's.
- Mr N put out bunting and flags while I made a red/white/blue door floral decoration.
-opened greenhouse, checked what needed watering then sat at the end of the garden by the pond for breakfast.
-wudupa
- finalised Mr T c&c which I collect tomorrow. Frequent texts to neighbour as we shop for them.
- watched a bit of the VE day stuff on TV
- checked cc bill
- did a search for cheap land line. None. All more expensive than if we kept broadband and landline bundle, which is annoying as we're going over to a more expensive bb provider as it is the only one set up to do rural installation so we get a reasonable speed. We've been thinking about it for years and now our TT contract is up, engineers are coming next week to see how much of the garden they need to dig up.
That's it before lunch. Hope to continue being un-slothful later.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
Afternoon all [waves] - I'm still around, just not achieving much.
Very sorry to hear that Squeak and her Daddy are both unwell. COVID-be-gone wishes coming your way, pigpen. Please ring 111 sooner rather than later!
Also thinking of Mudbath's FiL, and of course YL's DS.
I slept better last night and started today well by running my new cordless Dy--n round the house - very efficient and easy to carry, so thanks to whoever recommended it.
I also WUDUPA all the bulb bowls that have been sitting on the utility drainer for a month, and cleaned the sink.
I have finally sent the text message and emails that should have gone out a week ago, and faffed around a lot on the computer. Decision taken not to send in another Gift Aid claim until the beginning of next month.
Yesterday I removed all the bulbs and winter pansies from the pots on the decking, so one of this afternoon's jobs will be to plant up with fuchsias which I've managed to overwinter, snapdragons and more pansies - the faces in the pansies make me smile
I can't finish cleaning the front drive because I need a new wire paving brush - the one I got a year ago is now down to about 10 bristles
After lunch I shall join the bakery gang and make scones just for us, since NNDN's son doesn't want her to come to outr house for a socially distanced railway tea
Kazwookie, I just checked the flight radar and spotted a Canadian plane about to fly over our house (at 40,000 feet) on its way from Tel Aviv to Montreal, and when I looked out of the bedroom window, there it was! It's the little things that make my day...
Have a good Bank Holiday, everyone xxx10 -
Ionafan I am just shocked at how many air flights there are, and even more shocked that the UK gov. didn't shut down the boarders and airports............Walk with OH done, sea fret coming in, local chip shop is open, so ordered for collection at 6pm it is only a 10 mins walk awayBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Well I seem to have been flying from the moment I was woken up by DS1 who informed me that DS2 (3) had had a nose bleed. He'd obviously picked his nose in the night and it was everywhere! Over all of his covers, his sheet, his pjs, his blanket, one luckily washable cuddly toy. It took me ages to get the blood out as it had dried in, only for him to then have another nose bleed where he'd been exploring again. DH changed his outfit, and of course he repeated it a bit later too - 3 nose bleeds and I was worried we were going to have to take him to a dr. Luckily we managed to get it under control and he seems to have got the message not to do it again. Didn't stop him then pouring green smoothie down his lunchtime outfit though.
Thank goodness it's a sunny day.
Other than doing laundry, I've also hoovered the downstairs again (kitchen, dining room, playroom, living room, hallway and study) as well as cleaning a hot spot on the desk in the study as it was turning into a paper avalanche.Hope everyone's bank holiday is going well. It only occurred to me that DS1 would normally be off school today at around 2pm, so I don't feel quite so bad that he's not done as much school work today whilst I've been concentrating on flying.Get well wishes and hugs where wanted or needed, sexymouse xPS I remember Quillion too ValliEnjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20179 -
