I filled the form 20/03/2020 (flight 29/03).
By the way - EU261 form doesn't work. I filled it 19/03, and today I've got the answer:
As per interpretive guidelines on EU passenger rights, announced by the EU commission on cancellations caused due to COVID-19, this is now classified as an extraordinary circumstance and compensation does not apply under EU261/2004.

Hi all, need some advice from the site and if anyone has had the same issue. Long story short family trip booked to fly from Dublin to Amsterdam on first week of May with Ryanair. Got the dreaded email today, which i knew was coming , cannot fly due to restrictions but book an alternative up to 31st August. Firstly thats just.... well we all know as that doesn't suit. So where do we stand now? I would like to recoup-orate some of the fares back. I know it wont be easy. We have paid for flights with credit card and also have travel insurance. Any advice or guidance on this would be great.0

The wife and I booked a flight with Ryanair in Jan and at present we should have been in Marrakech ..
I have filled in the refund flight e form on the Ryanair web site in late March , they replied a few days later saying they had received the application and its currently in the system to be processed .
Has anyone ACTUALLY received a refund from Ryanair yet??
Thanks

I for one will NEVER book another flight with Ryanair. O'Leary is obviously doing everything he can to upset, annoy, and destroy all trust in his ability to run an airline. Keep up the good work. What goes around, comes around. This time next year hopefully his chickens will come home to roost and Ryanair will be history.0

None of that from Ryanair. When they cancel the flight they send you a link to refund claim form. Granted, initially a lot of people had problems with that form -likely the IT was creaking under the pressure - not many stories of that now though. Ryanair have emailed me twice since putting my form in saying they are sorry for the delay, my refund is in a queue and they're working through it. When you consider the shear number of passengers they carry and flights they've had to cancel it's not unreasonable that there will be delays processing millions of refunds.0 -
I too am having problems in the refund process with Ryanair for a flight to Alicante on May 5th 2020. I received a letter from them saying I could alter dates but no mention of a refund. I found their Refund form on their website to complete which when submitted said the claim is not valid because the flight has not been cancelled! All Ryanair flights have been cancelled until April at the moment. What can I do as I do not want to alter dates and want a refund?

My flight for 3rd April was cancelled, and I applied for a refund through ryanair website which went through ok. That was on the 26th March. I got a confirmation page, but no email confirmation. I saved a PDF of the page for proof, but then spend 3 days on the chat waiting for a customer service agent and no one replied. No refund yet in my bank account.Anyone know who this should be escalated through? Credit card company or some industry body?0
