    Hi again...
I've just updated my sig. The amount I've paid off and also the total that I want to pay off.
We extended our oneaccount facility before we came over to Oz and I've decided that I also want to get back down to our original limit before Christmas 08.
So, I've added that to my total....it was looking so good...oh well...
  • I'm definitely up for this challenge. Don't know how close I will get but if DH and I can wipe off £20,000 that will take care of most of our CC debt. Even if I only make part way, that would be great!!

  • Hi all.

    How is everyone doing?

Have to admit, I'm still faffing a bit. Thoughts like "well, it's Christmas", "well, it's only a pound", "well, I deserve a treat", "well, [insert any old excuse not to get on with it]" keep popping into my head.

Faffing is a hard habit to break!

Pollydaydream, do you have a "spends" budget you can use - ie give yourself an amount of "pocket money" that you can spend on whatever you want without feeling guilty? It might stop you spending on bits and pieces that then get out of control. Of course, whatever out of your "spends" you don't actually "spend" you can take great delight in paying straight into your moneybox or off the debt.

Everyone seems to be doing really well though........keep on going!

Has everyone seen the thread about earning up to £2 a day just by clicking?

I mean it could earn you nearly £700. I have started and already earned £4 in 2 days!

Doing this alone would clear one of my debts, every little helps, I am already looking into selling on ebay and getting a second job on the weekend.

Anyother ideas would be welcome, not sure about the match betting.

    Merry Christmas

  • I reckon I've made a good start this month I think I've paid off £500 but waiting to update my sig at the end of the month when I've updated my snowball which has been a great help. Ive also book myself in for loads of overtime on my 2nd job (tescos) which will be really busy and most of the overtime is time & a half... I wont get much extra for it though cost I get taxed loads.

Reading this thread is really keeping me motivated!!!!

  • Hi, I won't be able to do the official challege next year as I'm basically on minimum payment maintenance (thanks to maternity pay!), but I am going to set my own personal challenge which is to live better for less by Xmas 2008.

    I will:

Not be counting the days down to the next paycheck
    Eat healthy home cooked food
Not be unable to afford car maintenance/Xmas/other big annual bills
Not have to worry about the cost of baby's things
Still manage all my minimum payments and bills
    £4000 challenge

    Currently leftover - £3872.15
