Nothing new to report either. Did however get some free money from DH's grandad in coins which paid for weekly shop and for Christmas tree (fake, to last a few years of course) and decorations. Our last one went missing in our move or something like that! On top of that it was all half price so not bad going. Still enough cash left over for any extras that will come on Christmas day.

We've got loads coming over for Christmas lunch but everyone is bringing something so that's saving a shed load.

All helps since this is last month on smp. Back to work in Jan so can really put cash towards debts.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend.

    Morning...well, evening for me...
    How's everyone doing?
I've managed to tweak a few more things. I've had a credit put on my credit card and I've worked out how much money I'll have left once all mt DD's come out and child benefit goes in, so I've popped it in my savings pot and have updated my signature....I'm hoping it will feel this easy when I'm back in the UK...!

Is it too late to join up this challenge? I have other debt other than the cc showing in my sig but thats the debt I'm wokring my **** off to clear first.
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J
  • I'm in too.

I'm going to go for £10K though as £20K is going to leave us with £4K to live on!

    £6551.35 paid so far.

This WILL be my debt free year! :T

Thanks jpwhittle...I'm just doing it by being really frugal and only spending what needs spending...and have really trimmed my bills down....and cut out everything I possibly can...I also used the money I had put away for my tax bill as it was less than I thought it was...I spent a lot less on christmas than I would/ve done previously..it's a combination of little things as they really do add up...it does help that my CC debts are interest free and my loans are pretty low rates as well about 6% I think...

Hope everyone is doing well with the challenge, I would like to clear the full amount just under £15K before next christmas.

We are having a boot sale, selling some stuff on Ebay, I have signed up to any and all cash back sites I can. Will be looking for a second job in the new year, along with moving to a cheaper let in the area.

With any luck we will achieve our goal.

If anyone knows any other hints, please keep posting!
    Merry Christmas!
