  • Hi everyone.

Nothing new to report. This month is sooo long! I've given up on this month and am motivating myself by budgeting and planning (and earning) for next month, so hoping totals will start to change.

Keep your eyes on the prize :).

Gosh panda paws your total is great! Well i've put £100 into my savings account from things i have sold on ebay. Figured that even though things are tight this month, i wanted to put that money away as otherwise i'll end up spending it on nothing, when the whole point of ebay was to get rid of stuff in order to make money.

Well done Pandapaws and everyone else. I havent made any overpayments yet this month as I am waiting for a vets bill for the horse and want to make sure I can pay that first!

Have been doing loads of overtime though so roll on the 31st! x

Not that good really - I've only overpaid £200, the rest is just the normal monthly payments. But it's all coming off the total and I'm just happy that I'm not increasing the debt any!

Evening everyone and welcome to any newbies that have joined.I have been off the internet for a month and have only just got back on so have spent the last few days catching up.
While away though I've been thinking long and hard and decided that I'm approaching things differently..so here goes:
    (1) Clear the credit card debt
    (2) Replace all windows and doors in the house...back windows ordered and due to be fitted in about a month..£200 deposit paid £1200 to find by installation date...
    (3) Pay my holiday balance of £2816 by Oct..sorry if this sounds bad but as we work 72 hours a week each 50 weeks of the year then I feel justified in a holiday.(we are not having one this year this one is for jan 2009)
    (4) Put £100 p/w away for my tax bills
Originally I was going to pay CCs, then holiday and then loans(no point in paying the loans early) hence this plan.
The loans will be paid as normal.
Then as soon as I've tackled the points above I will be paying overpayments off my mortgage...I'm in the process of sorting out my remortgage at the moment...I'm bringing the term down from 18 years to 10 years so this is putting my repayments up by £150 p/m but I want to pay it off before the 10 years are up..would love to do it by 2011 but being S/E you never know what you are going to earn.
My loan came out today so the totals are bang up to date.
So stick with it evereybody we can do it!!!

Taxi don't feel bad about the holiday, sometimes its treats like this that get us through the tough times, sounds to me like you deserve one. Well, i have begun looking at free bingo, got a free £10 to play with, no wins as yet but then plenty more companies to try. Here's hoping for something!

We've also had to slow the overpayments, January is always a slow month work wise for dad (not helpful just after Christmas) and we need to make sure we've got enough to pay his income tax at the end of the month.

Still not long till Feb :)

  • Hi all. The move went well and Id put more money aside for it than was needed. But now Ive got a parking ticket  on the first day of my new job.
I cant wait til Feb so I can make more overpayments and hope that my new work sort out my pay for 31st Jan.
