  • Hi everybody.

    How are you all doing?

I have to admit that I've been finding it very difficult to keep motivated this month - combination of trying to get back into a routine after the holidays and the long, long stretch to the next payday.

Some serious faffing's been going on!

Anyway, I had some good news yesterday - I applied for an increment at work and they've given it to me, so I'll have about an extra £70 a month from next payday. :j

Feeling a lot more enthusiastic and determined to get back on track. Was even ridiculously happy when I picked up a penny from the floor in Tescos this morning (every little helps!).

  • hey everyone

I'm also trying to keep my head above water this month and theres still another 2 weeks until payday - arrgh!!!

I've used Amazon a lot and its very easy to list. Even is you list books for 1p, if you use jiffy bags from work and put it in the post tray, you'll make enough money to make it worthwhile (no one tell my boss!!!)

My trainers and boots both decided to fall apart on the same day so have had an extra expense i didn't budget for. still, i got them both in the sales so its less traumatic than it would have been in feb!!!

keep going everyone and log on every day if you're getting the January blues - lets keep eachother going on the road to being debt free!

Well did my mystery shops yesterday and whilst in town traipsed around the charity shops and found a few good books to list on Amazon. I did very well as i wasn't distracted by all the lovely sales things in town and even though i looked there was nothing i wanted or could justify buying. In the end i only bought a few sales items for presents.

Am planning to go ruthlessly through all my clothes and get rid of all those i haven't worn in ages, then put them in a job lots to sell on ebay. Other than that i will be slice the pieing and doing my daily clicks. Also hoping i can make it to payday without breaking into my savings account.:(

    Hi everybody....
Haven't been around for a while. I've been up to Queensland and watching New Years eve fireworks in Sydney Harbour...
Unfortunately my total has had to take a hit....by £2500....but I have some lovely diamonds to show for it.....DH decided it would be a good time to update my engagement and wedding rings and but an eternity ring...gulp...
They are lovely, but have put my totals back, hopefully will still have some more to add at the end of the month and we are back home in a couple of weeks , so will look at getting a job for a few months to help out...

Yep, not much to report from me either, just desperately waiting for the end of the month, especially as money keeps going out of my account rather than into it!
