    Hi all
Great to see some real oomph on this thread.
No real progress made for me as yet on this challenge, so checking in to ensure I stick with it. Bit of faffing been going on last week but some soul searching and decisions made. (For those interested in my musings please see my homepage :)

As the school/work routine finally gets restarted this week, I can get into a routine again.
    Have a good day all.

  • Eek! Was doing so well and thought I'd be able to make some small overpayments but got a letter about an old debt I'd forgotten all about which I had to pay straight away! Obviously wasn't budgeted for so this month is going to be very tight but must try and stay positive and keep focussed!

Bad day yesterday for me. The cv joint and wheel bearings went on my car (black smoke and horrendous grinding sound coming from car!). So yesterday was spent in garage (had to book day off, not happy about that one as it comes out of my holiday allowance). Haggled the price to 150 pounds which I had in my account and had been about to put it to my debt today. Really didn't need it happening. Also, (and really upset about this as they were a present from my Mum) lost one of my driving gloves yesterday. Only got them at christmas and I never usually lose things.
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J

Hi, is it too late to join this challenge?

I've been working out that I could pay off £20K by christmas 2008, if I really focus myself this year, and I would be absolutely delighted if I did get the majority of my debt paid off this year.

What a fantastic feeling it would be, and I would feel like I could get on with my life, as for the past few years I have felt like I've been in limbo.
    October make £10/day currently £11.02

Can I join now as well please? I have 2 x loans that don't get paid off for 2 years, but I want to clear the £6k on my credit cards by September!

Hope it's not too late to join!!
  • It's never too late to join I'm sure! Just gives you less paydays to pay it off...;)
Have not been to great myself this month. Will have no spare money at the end of the month to pay off any debt so way off target. Still, you never know. quidco have approved an earnings query I started months ago and after getting stuff from John Lewis through Quidco I'm due a nice little payout in Feb. Also, John Lewis sent me a package that while it was addressed to me, when I opened it up it contained stuff I hadn't ordered. I rang them up about it and they were having so much hassle with the system - they couldn't put in a request to pick up the stuff from me as the order number wasn't coming up in my name. However, the package had been labelled as mine so the system was confused. In the end the girl asked me if I liked the stuff and would I mind keeping it! It was some bedlinen and towels, very nice it was too! So I said 'no problem':D and she said they'd just write it off and re-send the package to the correct customer.

Also found a really nice buggy (Quinny) in a charity shop for a fiver just as mine is falling apart.....
So must be having a lucky horoscope week! I'm sure it will balance out next week....
