Hello all
Hope you are well on track on the challenge.
Bit of a mixed end to 2007 for me, I managed to use a bulk payment to reduce my debt by over a grand - and i spent next to nothing over christmas (two train tickets (£3.75 each way) and an unfortunate £10 on coffee and magazines when I had to wait half an hour so I could get a cheaper train (false economy!!)
Then I got money from relatives for Xmas although I blew it on a boozy day out with my friend yesterday (booze and shops - not very helpful combination) but i figure since I spent NOTHING on going out on xmas eve and boxing day and NOTHING today (too hungover to move) and I have no social plans until NYE which is party at OH's house (he won't let me pay for any of it) so surely I have broken even in the long run.
One thing is clear - if I am to succeed at this challenge I am really going to have to step up the effort - time to take myself in hand, I feel a budget coming on.£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

Hi everyone.
Hope you all had a good Xmas. I thought I'd come back after a few days of 'normal life' (i.e without a computer) raring to go, but actually I think I must have wound down a bit too much, because I just seem to be mooching around, not really doing very much.
Have given myself a strict talking to and will get back to it tomorrow (cheap listing day on ebay here I come).
It's great to see everyone doing so well, and those totals are really going up.

Hey guys! Well my total has yet to go up but i have been very good and avoided the sales even though i'm dieing to go. My problem with sales is i love a good bargain and just end up buying stuff i don't need. However i went up to our big Sainsbury's and picked up a load of half price gifts so have got most of next Christmas and birthday presents sorted now!
I have some cheques to stick in the bank and the money from the ipod, so my total will be going up soon. I'm also selling a load of vouchers i got from doing surveys so that will be a little more to add to my total. Like others, i will be digging out a few things to ebay tomorrow.
Have also been busy with the daily clicks and entering competitions, not good when i should be studying my O.U course!
Nice to see everyone back and raring to go. Hope everyone gets plenty listed on ebay.:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j

Good Morning.
Everyone sounds like they are raring to go. I love Christmas, not too bothered about NYE, and like getting back to normal.
Actually got something to report. Paid £200 off my £9587 target, this is just over minimum payment, it does count doesn't it ?
Made a few decisions about 2008, one of which is to going to start making jewellery again, used to find it very therapeutic (sp?). But aside from that it's a great little earner if I get more organised and disciplined. ie no faffing.
Hope you are all having a great faff free weekend.The man who removes a mountain begins by carrying away small stones. - Chinese Proverb

Hi everyone,
Still to make my big payment to my Egg loan this month- it comes out at start of Jan but in the meantime I've started to move the pennies balance of my current account everytime I check it over to make small overpayments to my credit card. E.g if balance is £xxx.87, shift the 87p to my credit card. So far this week I've paid an extra £8 this way - every little helps!!
Also sold some stuff on Amazon but I'll wait til the money is in my account before I update the sig.
Keep up the good work everyone!!1.Virgin CC: [STRIKE]£9432.00[/STRIKE] £10290.00
2.RBS CC: [STRIKE]£3254.62[/STRIKE] £3029.61
3.M&S CC: [STRIKE]£1262.11[/STRIKE] £464.95
4.Next: [STRIKE]£400.00[/STRIKE]. £280.00
TOTAL = [STRIKE]£14348.73[/STRIKE] £14064.560 -
Hi alimac23, just wanted to say, thats a great idea about transfering small amounts from your bank account to the credit card. I'd not thought about that, but it's a good idea, as you never really notice those small amounts. May just pinch that idea.
Well today i am beginning by inflicting some of slicethepie on myself, whilst doing daily clicks and attempting to list items on turbo booster to put on ebay later this evening.
Have a good day everyone.:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j
