I haven't e-mailed my local MP yet, but it is on my list as something to do!

Well i've sent an e-mail to M&S to see if they can cancel it. Hopefully that would solve the problem!
Did you use the letter that beamerguy wrote for you on the 2nd of May, and did you make the additions I suggested?
Did you complain to your/your father's MP and the Prime Minister as suggested?

Have you contacted local and nation press and TV about this disgusting behaviour where scammers are cashing in on the covid virus pandemic?

The above actions are what will get the scamvoice cancelled so your dad won't have anything to worry about.

I sent the letter that Beamerguy drafted and only edited it slightly to include the store postcode, and maybe one or 2 small alterations, but nothing substantial.
It was sent to the CEO/Head office

Yes, that was a gentle letter, the next one will be harder

    I agree common sense prevailed.
It's always being polite but firm when complaining.
I never like to go in guns blazing in the beginning as people are more likely to be helpful and persuaded if you go in with a more friendlier approach and let the facts speak for themselves.
