People will vary obviously - as does their hair and some of us need our regular haircuts more than others (as others have better hair).
Still want to look like me for those people I do see - albeit out and about and usually strangers.
Personally - we all have our different takes on whether we'd be okay about catching covid or no. So my own personal take is I'm not "vulnerable" group or living with anyone in "vulnerable" group. Those I know that are in this group aren't in this area anyway and not able to see them until life returns to Normal. So, for myself personally, and not being BAME or "vulnerable" or background of poor diet etc (having noted poorer areas seem to have a higher incidence of this) - so I'd rather "catch it and get it over and done with" and not be at risk of anyone trying to deny me access to anything in the future if I didn't have a vaccine (ie I'd be permanently barred until I'd caught it - as I don't have vaccinations). I doubt I'd be someone that would get it to "serious" level anyway and, if I was wrong on that, then my choice would be to be dead by the end of the day anyway (I certainly wouldnt go on a ventilator or anything) and then I'd be free to get on with my life again (or my "afterlife" in "Heaven" more to the point and so much better by far than any life on Earth......).
So for a healthy white non-vaxxer living on their own - then my own personal take is "get it over and done with" and that's that.
You know what, stick a blinking hat on your head if you are that bothered about what random strangers in a shop or on a walk think of your hair. You would put a random (trained or otherwise) hairdresser at risk of catching the virus from you and probably pay them pennies, I can tell you it won't be my hairdresser nor any hairdresser friend that I know come 11 May
Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama12 -

Sheesh kebab! There's always going to be what the press are calling Covidiots who think that the rules don't apply to them or think that they know better and don't care about others. Drives me mad that some are doing what's required and others are oblivious to what's required because they don't want to 'still look like me'.I broke a front tooth on the first day of lockdown, no chance of a repair. Luckily it's not painful though even if it were I'd still have to wait. Now with my lockdown locks I'm beginning to resemble Fagin! As everyone is in the same boat I'm sure that we will all be forgiven for our raggedy looks. I still look like me, albeit a me with longer hair.13

With everything that's happening it's hard for me to believe that anyone would be concerned about not being able to have a haircut.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

I hope you will not call 111 and get NHS help if you catch the virus. Why should hard working medical staff risk thier and their families' lives to care for someone who doesn't care of they catch the virus and doesn't follow guidelines to protect others?

I really cant believe someone has posted on here they are trying to find a hairdresser working against the rules, I mean seriously????
My super awful hair which is pixie cut was due cutting a week into lockdown so you can imagine what a mess it is right now, do I care? Not at all, its not like Im going anywhere other than the queue for the shops where anyone is going to be seeing me. The girls I work with are all in the same boat, worse as they all have colours, but same as me, they really don't care enough to risk getting Covid or helping to keep the infection cases rising
Gers, I broke a tooth last week as well, luckily a back molar. Dentist said to call up for a temporary filling, it was passed out of a window to me with an instruction leaflet to do it myself

Maybe it's time for a hairnet revival...?My hair has also gone all straggly and, while I'm not bothered about what others think of it, I find I'm constantly sweeping it back off my forehead without thinking. Or if you do want to use clips but the hair is too slippery, doing twists or mini anchored plaits ('lace braids' or french/dutch plaiting just near the hairline) can help.2
