Has the dead cat finished bouncing?

There was bound to be a downturn as I removed cash funds from my Vanguard account to invest elsewhere. They had been sat in cash too long waiting for the cat to stop climbing the curtains and take a tumble.
Let me know when you want prices to shoot up again and I'll transfer the funds back. That should do it 😔1 -

Brevity is a blessing, and that's how it's often written. But there must have been as much buying as there was selling, or there can't be selling. Serious question: let's keep the text brief indeed, but how should we think of this situation in a way that accurately reflects what's going on? Assuming the same thing goes each time we're justified in writing 'there was selling today'.coastline said:...there was selling in the US yesterday and as a result the...0 -
How do you all think the markets will react to the G7 agreements on Corporation Tax made over the weekend?
Would this have be factored in (did anyone know it was coming?), or will it have come from left field for the markets when they re-open tomorrow!?How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 3.24% of current retirement "pot" (as at end December 2025)0 -
It’s been talked about for a while, the recent change is America coming on board, which was pretty obvious after Biden won so you would assume it’s been priced in for a while.Sea_Shell said:How do you all think the markets will react to the G7 agreements on Corporation Tax made over the weekend?

How did that work out for you?MaxiRobriguez said:I've just taken some profit off the table from investments made in March. Not a lot, but moving slowly back towards cash: 5% in March will be 10% in May with this selling and two rounds of pension top-ups which have gone straight into cash.0 -
Still think so?EdGasketTheSecond said:Prism said:I think it will go up from here - I imagine I'm looking for at least a 100% gain from this point.Warren Buffet thinks its going down and so do I:0
