Might test the lows but currency printing around the world, especially the FED, will probably limit the downside at the cost of future inflation.

I've just taken some profit off the table from investments made in March. Not a lot, but moving slowly back towards cash: 5% in March will be 10% in May with this selling and two rounds of pension top-ups which have gone straight into cash.

I'm sure the vast majority of people just hand over their cash regularly. The mantra of averaging and being in it to win it.
It's based on blind faith alone. Certainly, if you are in the market for long enough, you should be ok. But hindsight is a wonderful thing.

I think it will go up from here - I imagine I'm looking for at least a 100% gain from this point.

It amazes me that the slightest bit of bad news sends the market dropping. If it goes up, they say it was factored in.

It's fairly common for drops/rises/plateaus to be explained by multiple market commentators after it's happened. Not many people hit the nail on the head before it happens though.

As always the best thing to do is avoid their media and invest with allocations and risk appetite suited to your needs. Anyone chasing the gains who needs access to the capital in the next few months is gambling, much like they would have been had they been chasing gains before Coronavirus hit.

You realise that Warren Buffet article is referring to 2001? To be clear, I was talking about the standard 5-10 year equities investment time. Everything else is just noise
