@Sistergold Hurrah for the OP and rounding it off!1

Good morning ladies
The initial plans have now come. The downstairs was not really what I asked for. He had also promised to give me two drafts but he only did one. Called him to highlight that the ground floor was much different from what I asked for etc. So I am to make comments and draw what I wanted? Am a bit disappointed but let’s see how he does.Initial mortgage bal £487.5k, current £258k, target £243,750(halfway!)

Update ladies
Good news, the architect was very obliging and he has quickly taken into consideration my everything on my wish list. The only omission is a door to the outside from the utility room which can easily be rectified. Now I actually love both plans and am not sure which to go with? It’s a good dilemma though!Below are the two proposalsInitial mortgage bal £487.5k, current £258k, target £243,750(halfway!)

@Sistergold How exciting! I love both options. Option B seems to provide a bigger utility area, so personally that'd be my pick. But well done overpayments and allocating more into the building works fund. Doing a great job in keeping up the momentum!

Just checking in on your progress - you are really getting on with it! I think I would go for the slightly bigger utility too, how brilliant that you're having a lift. Well done for making so much progress so quickly, I'm impressed particularly as I've just come to a standstill of indecision
@Sandyra I love the balcony, those chairs look really comfy.Mortgage overpayments 2018: £4602, 2019: £7870

Hi All
Sorry been away for too long, why do bad things happen in 3?
@Sistergold wow, things are coming along, as someone who did CAD drawings for my job prior to teaching and then teaching it to students, I'm glad you managed to get the alterations/ modifications; its a tailored/ bespoke service. Like @HelloB I'd be inclined to go with option B, as overall the space it gives and the cost/labour I would have thought would be negligible in regards to that utility area.
Well done on OPs, unfortunately I have taken Rishi at his word and spent Mon-Wed eating out to help out, so no extra OPs, thank god it finishes next week. I've also reduced my EF and OP target as somethings have taken an unexpected turn.
Thanks @sofarbehind - old cheap B&M ones with a bit of sandpaper and metal paint, spruced up in hours, cushions from ikea and covers from Amazon.
