Oh hello dear diary. Didn’t want to stay away for too long so thought an update will be appropriate! 🥰 I hope all you lovely ladies are doing well? I have been doing great just trying to stay calm despite the chaos of building works going on. Front, back and garden room are all at roof level so that is great. The side extension has had the ground floor done and they should start building first floor probably starting tomorrow. Side extension is part single part double story extension. Skylights were delivered yesterday, 9 in total. It has been quite stressful managing it all. Had to get rid of first builder after the foundations as I was not happy with his work. Had to supervise him so much and the stress level was too much. Needed to be correcting him on measurements and details I decided I could not carry on with him. So after Christmas I appointed another builder. It’s still stressful but not to the same level.

My garden is totally destroyed. The lawn and flowers all dead. There is sand everywhere so it’s more like being at the beach! 😩I guess it will need to be another expense after the building works are done. After this I will have so much more space! All the money I had earmarked for paying off the mortgage is now being used up which means I will need to reorganise my finances again after this and start saving again to pay off the mortgage.

OPs are moving along at a slow but steady pace at £125 per month. It seems small but balance IS moving down steadily.
Mortgage went out yesterday and new balance is £238589.44. STILL dreaming to be under £100k.
