RWrexham -  there remains a huge discrepancy between the readings you have been taking and what Eon are estimating.  Have you a final bill from UW ?    You need a bill with some Actual readings on it.

Any chance of a photo of the meter showing a date - I still think its fairly modern first fitted about 2014 but one of our meter readers will advise.

The fact also remains that you have a largish  heating installation - 3 storage rads, panel heaters, towel rails  - and with that will go a large bill
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

    Appreciate your help Robin.
Picture of meter attached dated (2019).
Of the heating installation, l only used the 3 storage heaters from January to March.
Additionally since January l have spent 3/4 nights a week working in London staying in hotels. I live on my own and have my kids every other weekend.
l also attach my final correspondence from UW.

As I thought its a newish meter 2019 which fits in with your readings - its the Eon readings which are rubbish

Tucked behind the meter on the right appear to be the old and new meter details and the readings - what are they - sending a good copy of that to Eon might help.

Not what l think is what we wanted.
When l purchased this property it was repossessed and l bought it from the mortgage company. When l got the keys, everything was sealed and switched off including all the energy from around July to end November. With an E7, could the time get mixed up on the meter and is there anyway to check this?

Those records will help as it gives the details of the old meter that was installed in 2005 and removed in 2019. I suspect the Eon records have not been correctly updated,
There is no issue with the info held in the meter as it has a 10 year battery (fingers crossed)
I suggest a letter headed COMPLAINT to Eon - don't phone, don't email - and give them the info you now have

    Two potential gremlins here:-
    • You can't rely on UW's closing readings because they seem to have been provided by yourself rather than a meter reader and could therefore be mistaken.
    • A mysterious third party can tweak the readings if they don't like them.  Both companies are supposed to use the same closing / opening readings, but sometimes things can go wrong.   https://help.so.energy/support/solutions/articles/7000046241.  Your closing UW readings give night usage of nearly 80%, which is very high.  However, the E.On readings give 46%, which is far closer to the national average of 42%.  I wonder whether this third party has 'corrected' the day meter reading?  As meters can't go backwards, this would also inflate subsequent readings similarly, resulting in a massive overcharge.
Send E.On today's readings and then weekly readings, then look at your online account and see what happens: the actual readings should trigger a recalculation and an accurate bill.
Raise a formal complaint if E.On continue to use any more estimated readings.  https://help.so.energy/support/solutions/articles/7000046447

Are you sure you're on E7 ?   What does your bill say ?  Are there one or two rows of readings ?  Do  the readings have the letter E against them (or A) ?

As you only quote a consumption of 4085 kwh I suspect you don't have E7  and as Stewie say have you actually got storage heaters but perhaps simple panel heaters ?  (Hopefully not the magic dust type !)

    PS From the Octopus site

How do I read my Secure smart meter?

To take a meter reading on a standard electricity tariff:

    1. Press 6 on the keypad four times.
    2. You'll see the letters “IMP R01” appear on the screen.
    3. Wait a moment – then eight digits will appear, followed by “kWh” towards the bottom right of the screen.
    4. Take the first 7 digits – this is your reading.

To take a meter reading on an Economy 7 electricity tariff:

    1. Press 6 on the keypad four times.
    2. Wait a moment – your day/peak and night/ off-peak readings will show up on the screen one after the other, starting with off-peak.
    3. For your off-peak reading, you'll see “IMP R01” onscreen. A second later, you'll see your meter reading: eight digits, with “kWh” towards the bottom right of the screen.
    4. For your peak reading you'll see “IMP R02”. A second later, you'll see eight digits, with “kWh” towards the bottom right of the screen.
    5. You'll only need to take the first 7 digits when taking each of these readings (i.e. nothing after the decimal place).

Robin, trying to read the meter, by pressing 6 on the meter 4 times “IMP R01” or “IMP R02” are not displayed anywhere. I did do a video to demonstrate but it won’t let me post it.
