Round, when you sell a car now you sell it untaxed, so if you do tax pip for 6 months dependent on when you sell, you will get some ££ back, no doubt DVLA will take an admin type fee.It is now raining here, OH in some sort of mood, so I'm going to be a long time inthe shower out of the way, while he sorts himself and mood out.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Thank you all for the GWS wishes. I slept from midnight until 6.15 this morning, so catching up slowly. I have sat at the computer finishing off the list of letters that have to go out today - about half will go in the post this afternoon and the rest will be emailed after breakfast. I'm still a bit muzzy-headed and will probably need more zzz after lunch, but - once the emails are done - I'm going to try to stay away from the computer for most of the rest of the day. There are pots waiting to be planted up between the showers, and I want to bake scones and biscuits.
We've decided to invite all the NDNs in our close round for traditional afternoon tea in the front garden on 8th. Social distancing will be maintained with chairs set out in family groups around the raised bed, and tea and cakes will be delivered by trainThat means that i also need to tidy up the front garden PDQ
I have decided to spend some of my savings on a lightweight cordless vacuum cleaner, as it is such a struggle to carry my cylinder model upstairs and DH can no longer help. Any recommendations, please? - bearing in mind Rosie's habit of shedding hair over the carpets.
Glad you've had some good news at last, asb
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed. Hope everyone has a good day xxx9 -
Good morning!
It's a slow start here (even slower than normal!) because I went to bed later than normal.
Round 1
Get up & dressed
Breakfast
Check emails & bank account
Put on WM
That will get me started.
Yesterday afternoon I was mainly sharpening pencils! I have binned quite a lot too. My cupboard sorting spiralled downhill. It doesn't help when you can't easily get rid of stuff actually out of the house!
The sun is out today, so I plan to spend some time at the allotment, as the weeds may come out easier now! I may leave a box of books outside to see if there are any takers.....
Have a good day everyone x9 -
Hi
Just popping in with a cordless vac recommendation for Iona, I have a d***on and I think it’s great, with two flights of stairs and two fluffy cats who fight a lot it’s ideal for doing the stairs and for the quick vacs, I use it most days.... they are expensive though, mine was a housewarming gift but I’ve had it four years and it’s going strong... others may disagree and have different recommendations.
Right, next cuppa made, back to work I go x9 -
Morning x
Ionafan I have a d...n V6 or V7 too. I love mine. The battery is ok for my 2 bed house (charged every 4-5 days depending on use) got it with Mr T vouchers. My Dad bought Mum a Morphie Richards one and it is rubb sh. Bits fall out when you release the button and it is hard to separate the stick bit.
i have stuck a load in the wm and am about to go in the bath. BD is scratching at the door.9 -
Round 1 done!
Round 2
Hang out washing
Empty DW & restack
Check on seedlings and water if necessary
I will then go to the allotment for a while....
Iona - I also have a Dy$0n rechargeable (can't remember which one!) I have had it a fair few years, and we no longer use our big one (should get rid really....) It is attached to the wall, so always charged and no taking out batteries, etc. They are expensive, but so are the other big brands. I think the cheaper ones are probably a false economy, as Dancemum has said.
OK - WM has finished....off I go!

Round 2 completed - sort of. I haven't restacked the DW, I have put it on a clean cycle instead.
I have also decided that I am better off going to the allotment after lunch, so I don't need a break while I'm there. In the meantime I have made some rock cakes, which are currently in the oven 😁
I think I will have some lunch, then go out. See you all later!8 -
late in...laid in bed dozing/watching i player. Then I've been marking online work. Got a huge (jam sized) bag of rhubarb from the allotment. Not sure I CBADon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Thank you Honey Bear9 -
DS2’ school just have put a list of links for the kids to do work. No marking here. He won’t do anything as he says they are too general.
We have just walked to the pharmacy and back for our exercises and to collect the items which were left off the last prescription.

I have found some GUAG, made beds, WUALTD, ironed, folded the wet washing as I am waiting for a dry day (ever the optimist!) and trimmed and washed the rhubarb. I need ginger though and I HAVE to go to the shop as I have no instant coffee (eek). Though I have the filter machine and the Dolce machine and pods. I might go now - it's raining and that might keep people away...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson
