Morning!
I can not tell you how lovely it was getting up to a clean and tidy kitchen this morning, I was able to make my coffee without having to maneuver round cluttered sidesstill a few things on the list I didn't get done but I think I am going to leave the kitchen now. If I keep playing catch up by the end of the week my to still do list will be so long I will be in the 'overwhelmed so do nothing' camp....what I am getting done is making a huge difference so don't want to end up back there.
Kids still in bed so can't get started on today's list yet, will enjoy my coffee in the quiet clean kitchen until then.
Positive vibes and get well wishes to all who need them x11 -
Morning all
Slow start here today, but all fine. It's overcast and rained a lot in the night and is much cooler today which isn't helping my motivation.
So far
Clothes picked up
Bed stripped
Been to vet to pick up cat food
Floor scrubbed where cat peed
Lunch idea found
New TD being delivered between 1 and 3 so then I will get the laundry going.
Crochet and admin I think is going to be order of the day and a quick wipe round the bedroom before I remake the bed.

MeandThe2 - I think I am currently in the 'overwhelmed so do nothing' camp!! I think I need some fluffy mules thrown at me!!
I have checked the bank accounts & emails, I'm up, dressed & breakfasted, but other than that, have done nothing!
So, Round 1
Empty DW
Refill DW
Wash up remaining pots
Wipe down surfaces
That should get me going!10 -
I am up dressed, WUDUPA. Water bottles filled & in the fridge.I have been naughty & been to put out the rubbish, we are not meant to do that until after 8pm, but I had peeled some prawns last night & the smell from the bin was there every time I opened the kitchen cupboard that the bin resides in! I was meant to take the bin out last night but I had a shower & put on my pyjamas & couldn’t be bothered to go & get dressed again! This is only the 4th time that I have been out of the apartment since the 13th March 😱 3 times to the bins & once to the bank!.
The dehumidifier has been emptied & the water recycled into my ironing water bottle.
I am just having a quick drink of water before I sweep & mop the apartment, I don’t want to use the hoover as we are expecting a delivery & I am afraid I may not hear the buzzer if the Hoover is going.
GWS vibes to Valli’s DS GF. Big hugs to all that need them 💜🌈💜'Money and good health is coming easily to Flypeople'11 -
GI~~ I just cannot be bothered either, I am ment to be chasing up estate agents and solicitors, I tried yesterday, sent emails, and left phone messages, zilch nothing, back what so ever, so do these people want to sell houses or even discuss selling them, don't their want their commissions...........I have made a small shopping list, but if I don't get it today we won't starve.I have showered / washed / dressed/ sorted kitchen / got some thing out of freezer to tonight. Not doing washing of clothes today, as it is due to chuck it down here, and there is a sever lack of drying space, I don't want wet towels / bedding all over the place.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

A quick update from me. The dog has had a big walk, washing is on the line (though I will need to bring it in soon as we are forecast rain this afternoon). I have mopped the bathroom and W/C, and sent some work emails. Kids doing a bit of schoolwork. Our lovely binmen have taken all the flattened cardboard that wouldn't fit in the bin so I had stacked it neatly next to it, wasn't sure if they would or not. Off to pack an eBay parcel, then need to address the bedroom dust levels x

Round 1 done - yay me! Plus I have wiped out the microwave, washed the turntable and washed the DW filter. I also took a minute to remember the NHS workers who have died 😥
I think my next step is to tackle something in the DR, but I think I need to start small so I don't get overwhelmed. I will probably waste time wandering around the room deciding where to start! 🤦♀️😂 Maybe this is where the list will help! (*searches unsuccessfully for lightbulb emoji*) 🤔🤯
SGT your lockdown has been so much stricter than ours, and will probably be more effective!
Kaz it must be so difficult for you at the moment, stuck in limbo. Have you heard from your sellers, or are you looking elsewhere now?
Enough procrastination! I'm off to look at the DR/kids room list for inspiration/direction!
Edit: after my cup of tea, of course! 🤣11 -
Halfway round DS's pit. Stopped for a coffee and to catch up on my pupils and look at work. WUALTD while kettle was boiling.

Quick update while I have some lunch.
I have wiped down the chairs, cleared, wiped & polished the table (including underneath where the sticky ketchupy, yoghurty fingers linger!) and washed out the bin. I have then emptied 4 small cupboards and placed the contents onto the table 😱 I have had a breakthrough!! I have binned about 8 years worth of childcare magazines (nursery world, etc) without looking through them first!!!! This is MAJOR! 😁 and has saved me so much time!!
After lunch I need to crack on. I have so many pens, pencils and crayons - most of which do not get used as they don't work or break straight away. I am determined to find some space in those cupboards. I need to decide if I can cull some books (such as Horrid Henry, Horrible Histories, etc.) as well, as the older children don't read them. They have school books or are busy playing (I might leave them outside when it is raining!)
Back soon!9 -
Lunch update from here too...it is still raining, but I’m not complaining really.
Dusted through downstairs and most of upstairs while Dd was still in bed and DH was on a phone call.
Vacuumed through downstairs so that I could mop the floors in the utility room, kitchen and downstairs loo. Upstairs vacuuming can wait until another day.
S&S bathroom, utility and kitchen. Didn’t quite make cleaning the kitchen blinds and windows. Again. One load of towels hanging indoors.QHI.
Then on to the spare room, which DH is starting to use as a dumping ground again. This will not happen! I have spent a very happy hour sorting out my hated (and inherited from one of Dh’s relatives) sewing box, whilst listening to podcasts. I usually listen to these on my commute to and from work, and hadn't realised how much I was missing them. Zillions of cotton reels sorted, moving on to the ribbons and bindings. Exciting times....10
