Okay.  So I just woke up.  I intend to smoke my final two cigarettes before returning to slumberland.  I can quit again in the morning  :)

Any further encouragement is welcome  :)

Today is the day you choose to become a NON SMOKER.  Take it one day at a time and buy those carrots!!!!

OMG - I am so sad.

So today is the day I stop buying cigarettes and abstain from further abuse of my body.

I am 'sad' because I dug out a packet of rizlas hidden away in a draw, and am using them to make roll-ups from the cigarette butts.  This is my last 'hit' though...

Good new though.  I did not buy any more smokes.

What I did do was to buy a ton of chocolate and crisps, as a Nicotine Replacement Therapy product.  :)  (Sadly, I do not like raw carrots)

Looks like I just have to accept that I will be fat.  :|

Still, obesity is preferential when compared to having lungs that resemble a pair of kippers!

You can work on losing the weight once you're a true non smoker again.  That's what I did!

Just think about that long diving holiday!  Save the money towards your holiday that you would have spent on smokes.  I wish I'd done that when I gave up as between us DH and I were spending something like £100 a week and that was nearly 10 years ago now we would have been well off, although we spent a lot of it on the house and on holidays so not really wasted.

Well done Willing.  Now for the next 24 hours - one day at a time.  You can do this.

I'm still using YNAB Classic.  Been using it for years now it's the best budgeting tool ever!  We've managed to have several holidays a year since I started using it.  No idea what the new version is like but I don't like the idea of having to pay monthly or annually for it!  Glad I paid for the one off version.  I just hope it doesn't pack up now that they've stopped supporting it but so far so good.
