Cripplng gambling debt, no idea where to make savings

Last ever post from me on this thread. I've re-read it again, all 23 pages and it's a car crash. IMHO the OP has put a wrecking ball through the lives of parents, grandparents, ex-partner and is being economical with the facts about true debts and who they're with.
I, like others felt an emotional investment in what OP was going through: I still do. He's made me see this might have been me, at one stage, but not now. I'll not be debt free by Sept 2020 but by July, so a perverse TY for spurring me on.

Oh my ! Well, I for one want to thank everyone who contributed advice on this thread. I don't gamble, but have been in debt , lots of useful information has been shared and read by many, so none of it will go to waste.
What an amazing resource this site is.3 -
I agree. I have been watching this thread closely as gambling is where all my debt came from.
Finally got my head clear a while back and signed up with GamStop. Best thing I ever did, wish I'd done it/it was around years ago.......well, I wish I'd never got involved in gambling full stop, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.
From starting off on a DMP years ago on £56k, I'm down to £14k. It's been very hard work, but all my own fault, so no issue there. As I mentioned on a thread I started, the aim is to be debt free this year and start saving for a mortgage deposit.
Well done to everyone who has posted helpful guidance on here, as although I can see light at the end of the tunnel, it doesn't hurt to be reminded to stay on track.
Cheers,
