Thought I would bump up this thread as not been posted on for a while.
How's everyone doing? I seem to have grinded to halt. ALthough still saving a little each month I haven't added to my present drawer for some time.
Have £40 in vouchers so far from various clicky sites but a long way off another one now.Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712
03/09/09 - DEBT FREE AT LAST
Racing Hypno to Save - £10/£50000 -
Here is how my xmas will be funded..
Savings £300 (hopefully!!)
Quidco £75 can be spent online
Tesco vouchers - £15
Sainsbury’s points – 4929 (approx £25/ 500 points = £2.50)
Boots points - £6.88
Mystery shop money - £15
Debenhams £25 voucher
Not looking too bad at the moment, in fact quite near my £500 target, so we may be getting that family present of a Wii after all.The good you do comes back to you.DFW Long haul supporters No: 1340 -
I've managed to spend £3.99 of my Boots points (to be replaced by cash), £6 deb. voucher on gifts and £6 Evans voucher on jewelry sets. I've got loads of gifts now. My sisters b-day pressie is sorted as well as christmas so that's good! I'm going to try really hard to save as many vouchers as possible now for next Christmas and if I spend any- replace them with cash from our budget if they aren't spent on Christmas gifts.
So far I owe £3.99 from using my Boots points on a baby bottle. I got some really lovely photo frames in Debs for £9.90 silver plated- so they'll make nice gifts with baby pics in. I also got a really nice carved wooden frame with daisies on it for my sister's Christmas gift for £3.40 instead of £12 in Debs. Loving the Debenhams sale!
I think we've got nearly all our gifts now- just a few cheap mugs to get and my brothers pressie. I'll see him in Nov. so I need to try and get him something before then really. A photo in a frmae of the baby obviously and a book or DVD I think. Then we'll be done!
Good luck everyone!

Hi everyone,
Sorry I haven't posted much, but have been steadily increasing my 'Christmas for Free' money. I have about £55 in vouchers and the rest in cash (mostly from free bingo and surveys). I can't believe how much I have made - it all adds up, and I am confident I will reach my target of £800 by Christmas. Better still have had talk with my family, and because we want a holiday next year we have agreed to have a 'stocking' for each person and we all buy one present to add to to each one, with a strict price limit. This should save me quite a bit of money, because even though DD's are now older I still tended to spend a fortune on bits and bobs to make a stocking for each of them. So any money saved from my 'free christmas money' will go towards next years holiday fund.
Reading through the thread everyone seems to be doing really well. :j:j:j

We got £106.20 from Quidco for our Christmas fund this month and 20p interest from the bank. It all helps! I've also ordered another £10 voucher from consumer pulse and spent 8.58 in boots points on baby stuff and replaced it with cash. So we are well on our way to hitting our target now. I'm so pleased. It's hard staying on top of it with the new baby but i'm doing my best.

Hi, ikkle87, I've added you to the list. You look like you are doing great already though!
Can anyone believe it is August already? I usually start seriously thinking about prezzies for the kids in September, though I am trying to hold off this year as last year Argos reduced loads of brands to halfprice in the run up to Christmas. Here's hoping they do that this year too!
Haven't been around MSE as much lately and my challenge seems to have stagnated somewhat, but hopefully i am back with a vengeance - realised I NEED this site to remain debt-free or I am jsut going to tumble back into owing money again!! So hopefully i will be around much more.
Everyone who has updated seems to be doing really well - won't Christmas be a lovely feeling this year?0 -
hi
i know its august but can i join
so far i already have 20 pounds in valued opinions
have just signed up to piggy clicks, slice the pie, grassroots and retail eyes so hopefully will get something from them.0 -
Ok we have now got 229.11 in cash, 51.08 in vouchers and nearly all pressies bought. We have got to spend £35 on pictures of our baby-they are very sweet and that'll come out of our Christmas money.
We are pretty sorted now but i'm still collecting things when I see them. Evans sale was a good one for jewelry, as was Debenhams. I'm collecting for next year too now.
Also saving my click through ipoints for a cd for dh and some blockbuster vouchers for him. I've got enough for 1 cd now and am on my way to a blockbuster voucher. Cool.
