Ok I got another voucher today. For the Arcadia group for £10 - so dotty ps, wallis, burton etc. Also found the perfect scrapbook fro my Dads pressie so I've taken that out of the pressie money. Only £5.99 but couldn't use voucher as was in the Works. Still at least I found it! Just my brother to go, he can have a book or something. And dh family but they are having home made baby stuff and we've bought the stuff for that already. Ecept the mugs and frames but we can use vouchers for them.
Anyway, also got £217 tracking in my Quidco so that's fab! Should feed us over Christmas anyway, which is my concern as we're going out for dinner.

HI everyone :hello:
I've been keeping up with the thread best I can, and I'm really sorry I've not posted on it for a while.
I expected money to be a bit easier when we got back off holiday, but as usual it is exactly the same...
At the moment I have:
£17 in savings club at work (for food)
£67 vouchers towards pressies
£34 vouchers towards food
£10 voucher FINALLY earned valued opinions (food)
£35 paid out of £60 Park vouchers (pressies)
£61 total for food
£102 total for pressies
I have also got loads and loads of pressies stashed away.
I am going to start putting money into my savings club each week again and buying saving stamps from tescos. I would like to get my food saves up to £100, and need around £200 total for pressies (Ive got that much stuff put away already that come November when we do our Christmas shop I'll hardly have owt left to buy)
Anyway, I am defo going to up my effort, or at the end of the year I'll be cursing my lazy half hearted laid back attitude!!!

It's great to be so organised isn't it. It feels a bit wierd. I've got so many things stashed under the bed it's ridiculous! Still, it all helps!
I like reading how people are doing, it's an amazing motivator isn't it!

Oh, I forgot - have got a sealed tin as well that I'm dying to open. Luckily OH won't let me!
jak - just seen your signature - Congratulations! That was my motivation too, to be debt free by my due date!
noggin - how was the holiday?0 -
Hi choca, holiday was brill thank you, we had a lovely time. Kids loved it and the break was very nice and very much so needed!
I'm pleased cos I'm more then half way towards my total now. I've kept lowering my total tho, as I buy stuff in sales and stash it away. I've got about 6 people all completely sorted- most I've spent on 1 person so far is £3! Got my best friend a top for £1 and a scarf for 10p from Primark! So she is sorted, so I've taken my £5 budget for her off my "total needed".
Hope that makes sense ?!?!
Everyone is doing so well already, I thought we would all loose motivation in the summer months. Like, after last Christmas we were all really eager and I thought it would die off a bit in Summer then pick up again near Christmas when we all panic (!), but everyone is doing really well.

Hi, been reading these posts for a while but only just registered to join in. Got debts to try and repay but I'm trying to save a bit of money too and would love to join in with the free christmas challenge although may be a bit tough to manage it in 6 months. Already a member of a few cashback and survey sites so will work that lot out and see where I'm headed.Debt busting! Jan 2014 £7632.50 £7445.80

Hi everyone,
Sorry I have not posted for a long time. Everyone seems to be doing really well. I have updated my totals and am really pleased. I had to use some of my vouchers for a birthday last week but am determined to make them up again. I am on target for my total of £800 by Christmas. It has been very tempting to withdraw the cash and have a weekend away, but I am amazed that I have resisted. :T It is so unlike me.

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't posted for a while. Everyone seems to be doing so well.
I found £6 worth of M & S vouchers last night that I didn't realise we had...hope they are still valid, I reckon they are probably 8 years old!!!
So for christmas present spends at the moment my running total is £61 this is made up of:
£31 M & S Vouchers (£25 were free for switching utilities at end of last year)
£30 Boots vouchers (from Pigsback points). I also have about £18 pounds worth of Boots points on my advantage card and 760 pigsback points (hoping to get enough points for at least 1 more £10 voucher possibly 2.
I also have £10 Morrisons vouchers and £61 Morrisons savings stamps-for my christmas food shop.
I also have various points with various websites: quidco, onepoll, toluna, and several others I can't even remember all their names!!!
I'm avidly selling on ebay and have mountains of stuff to shift, so hoping my totals soon escalate.
I've decided this year to take my DDs bank books away from them-there is no money in those particular accounts anyway. I intend to put money in their accounts each month between now and christmas. At christmas I shall give them their books back (and a few small gifts) then they can choose how to spend their christmas money. They will be at their dad's this christmas anyway so they can spend the money in the sales and get better value.
