Well, my fridge is broken again.  This is the 3rd time since the beginning of November last year.  The freezer is mega cold but the fridge isn't cold.  Luckily, I have a small fridge I can keep limited food in.  I have put aside the frozen stuff I want to use, but the rest of it is going down to my Mom's to put into her freezer.  As we need to defrost it (that's what they told us last time) and I have got an engineer coming out on Friday to fix it (hopefully).  There's a pipe at the back that keeps getting blocked I think.
Anyway, hope you are all well and have a good day.  On the plus side, it's lovely and warm here already and it's only 7.30!

That's awful Abbafan makes eating healthily even more difficult when you only have limited cold storage.  Have the previous engineers said why that pipe keeps blocking?  Sounds like you might need to put some money aside to buy a new one soon, it's not much good if it keeps breaking down.  At least you can use your mum's freezer to save your frozen foods so at least you won't have to rebuy everything once your freezer is sorted out.

It's a lovely day here as well, we've got the back door open already!  Today's supposed to be the hottest day this week and it was warm enough yesterday.

Hi everyone I would like to join if that's ok? I previously hit my target but lockdown has not been my friend! Need to be accountable and note down my daily food.
    Thank you.

The last time the engineer came, my Mom and Dad were here as I was at work and my Mom said the back of it was all blocked up with ice.  We have been looking at new ones.  Hubby said before if it goes again we're buying a new one.  I have been paying the insurance to D & G for it, so we might as well get it fixed this time.  It's the first ever Hotpoint one I've had and I'm never having another Hotpoint!  We had a Beko one previously and it lasted for years. This one we only had September 2018.

That's no time at all Abbafan.  I had a Hotpoint prior to my current fridge/freezer and that lasted me about 10 years so pretty good I think.  I think they reckon the average to be around 8 years.  I've currently got a Haier which I've had for about 18 months now and it's pretty good.

Welcome Orangetoes.  Well done on getting to target before.  You've done it once you can do it again!  I think a lot of people have found it difficult over the lockdown period.  Please post up your daily plans especially if you think it will help keep your accountable.  I always post my plans but Syns are a bit of a 'moveable feast' LOL!  Yesterday I'd only planned a few and ended up going over but no problem as I had plenty left as my WI day is tomorrow.  I need to total them up again to see how many Ive got for today but think I've probably got about 10 left which will be plenty.

    Today's plan:

    B - 1 Weetabix/20g sugar free Granola/milk - part HEA/HEB
L - all day breakfast salad - bacon, hard boiled egg, new potatoes, tomatoes, leaves from garden dressed with a Fromage Frais, mustard & lemon dressing - P; S; F; 0.5
    D - hunter's chicken, mash, roasted carrots, broccoli - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - milk/cheese
    Syns - wholegrain mustard 0.5

    Welcome orange!

Just had our fave SW lunch. It really helps that my wife is on SW too, I'm always tempted to fall off the wagon but she is much stricter than me. She's been doing it for nearly 2 years and has lost 3.5 stone in that time.

Ainsley Harriot spice sensation cous cous, with feta, chopped cherry tomatoes and diced red pepper. YUM!

Welcome orange. I'm sure you'll soon get yourself back into the plan. It's so worth it after putting in all the effort to get to target. I'd be furious with myself if I were to undo all my hard work. Usually we have a challenge on the SW threads but this time it's challenge enough to stick to SW during lockdown.

I'm mainly motivated by vanity  but I was listening to the news earlier about the high risk to people with diabetes of Covid 19. Then they immediately listed being overweight as a potential cause of Type 2. It really does make sense to eat healthily and keep the weight off, more so now than ever.

You really don't need to be afraid of syns redmel. Like denise said, she and I tend to save them up for the weekend for alcohol and eat very low syn all week. Bubbs saves hers and has a slap up tea every Saturday. Saving syns isn't the ideal SW way but it works for us. If your preference is a chocolate bar then buy just enough of your absolute favourites and hide them away for yourself to enjoy each evening or whenever you prefer. The secret is to have the willpower to not eat them all at once.

Hope your sister feels better soon bubbs and gets a call back from the GP today.

I like the Ainsley Harriott couscous too YCM. I haven't had it for ages though as now I have a big bag of couscous in the cupboard I generally make my own but it's a good standby for 1.5 syns.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, baked beans (F), fried egg, bacon (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- LO chicken free casserole (F,S), pickled cabbage (S)
D- baked cod (P), SW chips (F), roasted veg, cauli steak, broccoli (S)
    Syns- none planned

I always make my own couscous too.  I quite often cut up salady bits and chuck into it along with some herbs, either fresh or dried depending on what I've got.  Now I've actually got quite a few growing I'll tend to use the fresh but if I have it in the winter then it'll be mainly dried.

I miscalculated my Syns at lunchtime and it was actually 1 not 0.5! Still not too bad and haven't had anything else and not planning on drinking tonight either!  WI for me tomorrow morning and haven't done the mid week one this week but as I've been on plan I'm hoping to be bang on target or even a bit below although because I've used most of my syns (didn't have 10 left as I thought, just 2!) not really expecting it to be more than 0.5lb.

Hope your sister feels better soon bubbs.
